windscreen steaming up

I had serious condensation issues last year like I would need to keep turning the AC on for 50% of the time when I'm driving to clear it. Changing the pollen filter fixed it almost completely.
However this year the condensation problem has started resurfacing but it's very minor, just blowing AC into the windows for 5 seconds clears all the windows up almost like magic and then I turn it off.
Only fogs when it rains, never when it's dry. Pollen filter has a 40K mile service (i've barely covered 5/12 months), so it shouldn't be worn by now.
Is the level of condensation I have normal?0 -
I've found drying the windows with a microfibre cloth helps (don't leave it in the car afterwards) and getting the car nice and warm with the windows open a jar.0

+1 for aircon, I have climate and leave it on auto all the time.
As said check pollen filter (just change it cheap enough) and do not leave on recirculate.Google gives you answers use it.........0 -
If it's damp outside, then having the windows down will not help. Use your air con all the time. Not just in fits and starts or when it's hot.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
+1 for checking the air intake flap, if it is inadvertantly set to recirculated you will get bad condensation.
There will be a switch somewhere near your heater controls, make sure it's turned to fresh or outside air.
I am a big believer in checking the simple things first.0 -

I got to a point last year where my car was always steamed up a lot, even when not raining. I put down newspaper in the footwells, and changed it every 48 hours. It soaks up moisture in the air and dried the car out a lot. still needed a/c on at other times, but the condensation wasnt as bad afterward...0

Stop spending your evenings up the Beacon.0 -
When the sun is out leave it parked in direct sunlight with a window a jar to dry it out and let the moisture escape.
When I park in the secure underground car park at work I always leave a window open a touch.0
