Vodafone can port your mumber if you get a pac code off o2, but think they need the code at the time you order your phone with vodafone.

I rang disconnections (100 from phone, option 2 then 2 again- FREE to ring off phone). Told them I wanted the discount 500 tariff with 500 texts, what can they offer me!
Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.
  • Bloke at Vodafone took my PAC number when I ordered and said it would be ported over on the 6th.

Also, on the subject of getting O2 to match a deal - I got nowhere. Spole to the customer retentions and explained with i was offered. The person there was insistent that this is a cashback deal and I should read the T&Cs VERY carefully. On multiple ocassions, I told him tha this was DIRECT from Vodaphone and there was no claiming back mechanism ... unfortunately it was falling on cloth ears ....

Exactly what they tried on with me. "As a company we don't recommend cashback deals" he kept telling me, "Its not cashback" I kept telling him, "Would you like to take out a £30 a month tariff and the N95 for £100 Sir?":mad:

Yep Vodafone can indeed port your number, infact mine has just transferred over from O2 in the last few hours. I am pretty sure like emweaver has said you can only do it when you buy the contract although if you kick up a fuss maybe there would be something they could do.

Well funny you mention that because I've litrally just signed for a package from Vodafone. Was expecting it to contain a car charger, a memory card, a bluetooth headset and a leather case.

Guess what, it had two bloody car chargers and nothing else  Oh well back onto the phone to the cancellation dept.
  • I managed to get the Vodafone deal on Friday after reading this thread (thanks to all!) but even with much wrangling couldn't get them to throw in any extras at all. Has anyone else had any luck with this? Also, even though the woman agreed to send a 1gig memory card, they only sent a 512meg. I plan to call their support and perhaps list the items they omitted to send...

Interesting. Obviously, I don't want you to give away any secrets, but what sort of source does this some from.

Also is it on 12 month contracts or only on 18months?

Oh, and will the £100 trade-in deal that is currently running also still be available?

    Thanks.
