mum rang the DWP today 27/11/13 as she is currently recieving both state pension/pension credit along with the mobility high rate from them, they have now confirmed ,that as of the 3rd december, they will not be paying the mobility, as the DLA will take over the payment. Also, they have confirmed the low rate care was awarded on the 10/4/2003 but they have never paid mum any of it, mum asked why? but they coud'nt give a reason.

DLA, have now recieved confirmation from DWP, that no payment was made in ten years. This has now been passed the relevant department, any arrears dated back from 2003 will be split into two lump sums.

    what a mess!!!

Wow, I am soooooo happy for you and your Mum! :T:T Of course, it shouldn't have happened in the first place, but it's wonderful that this has finally been paid. Now your Mum can have a good Christmas, stick the heating on high, and treat herself to some nice goodies.

I'm so pleased that your tenacity paid off, and well done for helping your Mum turn this nightmare into a dream.
