    Managed a NSD today :)

Feeling a bit :( as had a poor mark for some work on my course today but not surprised as did not really put in as much time on it as usual with DS staying here for last two weeks.

Well I'm in a bit of a dilemma here. The new Morrys opened today just down the road and I'm sorely tempted to take a little walk tomorrow and have a gander. Maybe go without my purse might be an excellent idea eh ;)

Have a good day tomorrow everyone

  • Hi all - had a NSD yesterday and Sunday!!:j
Will need to go for milk at some point today as not enough left to last until Friday! Hopefully will then have NSD Wed and Thursday.
Like xxlouisexx56 we need only fresh veg, fruit, potatoes, bread, milk and one lunch item per week until the big Christmas shop on weekend of 21st as everything else is in the freezer. So aiming to keep that under £10 a week - therefore more for Christmas!!!

I moved all our booze around yesterday - surprised how much we have :o so it should do for New Year as well!
    July 16 £95/£200
    Nov 16 £0/£200

    Small spend £3.04.

Fancied fish and chips last night as I'd been very busy all day and had no time to cook. Drove past fish and chip shop to see if they were open on a Monday - yes. Decided to go to Mr S to get something for 'afters' I parked neatly in one of their slots. When I came out some 'lovely person' had backed their car into the space next to mine and it was so close I couldn't get the drivers door open more than 6ins. A while later I had a message put out over the tanor but to no avail. I had to wait for over an hour before they turned up. To add insult to injury they then decided to use their mobile before driving off.

I just wish I suffered from 'road rage' as blocking their car in and going to have a cup of coffee would have been nice not the 'well I don't care attitude' which they had. Needless to say the fish and chip shop had closed when I eventually got there - I was not a happy bunny.
  • Went shopping last night for a few bits in Mr T, came to £34.16 at the till and after coupons came to £24.83. Wanted to keep it under £20 but needed to buy another bag for life to carry the shopping home and some cheeses insisted I take them home. I have updated sig. my freezer and cupboards are full to bursting so should only need some fresh veg from the market to top up as the month progresses. Although am tempted to buy another lamb joint as the one I got online at Mr T looks pathetic, hardly any meat and mainly fat. Will be sticking to the butcher from now on me thinks.

Didn't want to lurk without saying hi! I'm back again, whilst pregnant stuck my head deep into sand, we are gonna do a receipt check this month and start reducing next month.

Our budget is 600 pounds per month, which I'd like to reduce obviously but in reality we are dipping into our savings to the tune of 800 per month(extra), a lot of this is incidental spend, like car repairs but I'm not convinced our grocery spend is under control, we are down to one wage and I have 3 18 month toddlers who like to throw food on the floor,

Will be in for the long haul in 2014 but will pop in to get some tips x

hi how maddening about the inconsiderate parking there are some right thoughtless sods in the world...loving the food pics all looks very nice

i seem to have lost my food mojo currently...not feeling hungry and having a cold might be the reasone...i normally have a full week planned and do pans of veg with every meal however tonight we are having a stirfry and tomorrow i fancy potato waffles and beans....also having vague thoughts of a roast dinner but not sure when

went to aldi on mon to spend voucher....couldnt really get into it and ended up getting dh and ds a pair of slippers (each not to share) to make it up to £40...never had to do that before normally bursting with ideas on what we could try

    onwards and upwards
