November 2013 Grocery Challenge

I have in the past brought meat from a stall in the market and there was nothing at all wrong with it. In time the whole market shut and is now a car park. I now go to a catering butcher for my meat when I have room in the freezer, however if I just want a certain piece of meat for a recipe and I am not yet ready to buy in bulk I use a local butcher.
Few items brought this morning and spends are now at £88.33 so still well in budget.
Tonight I am having a jkt potato and some of the bolognaise sauce that was left over and frozen a week or so again. Not sure what DH is having he cant decide if he wants the same or not!!!!
Have just noticed the Dec challenge is up  having to think a bit now - do I set it higher to cover Christmas or leave as normal as although we will be buying a few different things, its still covering same number of days and there are usually lots of left overs mmmhhhhh decisions. :rotfl:
Think I have said before Florenceem - hubbys weight loss is fantastic. My DH was 28 stone at his heaviest and has gradually got down to 17.10 then put on a stone but has just recently got down to 17.7 at present. All done through small changes and nothing drastic. Hard at times though but you have to just chip away at it.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
It's been a week since I lasted posted. Been busy but I kept my receipts and I've just gone through them all. I've taken off all spends for Christmas & weekend away. So, my spends for the week were:
12/11 Mr W £10.34, Mr M £6.49 and Mr T £2.40.
13/11 Mr T £4.90
17/11 Ones**p £7.50
Today Mr T £72.63.
Have enjoyed catching up on everyone's posts. Think I'm still in budget. Just off to update my signature. Keep warm & dry everyone.0 -
DH came home with a tray of large eggs today from work. And announced he wanted to do some baking. So we went to A$da.....
£7.20 for onions and potatoes to make dinner today and tomorrow, and cupcake cases, and spices for baking.
On the plus side, we now have a large plain sponge, 2 smaller ginger sponges and 20 sort of cinnamony cupcakes!DFW Nerd no 239.....Last Personal Debt paid off Nov 2012!

Sorry I've been AWOL of late - been very busy IRL. Wedding planning and doing my Christmas shopping (almost all done online, only 2 presents to get now I think, plus a December and January birthday I want to get organised too).
Will update sig tonight. Been keeping track of spends on the blog, and to my recollection have just under £25 left 9should be OK as have quite a lot in freezer).
Hope you're all well - I skimmed through the posts and most seem to be Ok but hugs to those struggling whi've gone over - don't be too hard on yourself xxPart time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Hi, I know it's gone mid month but I wondered if I could just just on in where I'm at. My budget is £400 (bit bigger than normal but have to add extra for Christmas stuff) and as of today I'm at roughly £267.19 - can't say for sure as I can't find a Mr T receipt!
Don't worry about putting me on the front page cos I'm so late; just want to keep track of it all on my signature and will do it properly next month.
