I am very lucky that my small local One-stop do such good reductions and is only two minute walk from my house. always used to go to Asda at reduction time but got nervous about being pushed and shoved, I avoid it now. I rarely get to Tesco as its too far away.
Great deal on the fishfingers.

This brought back memories -
I used to make this for my kids as a 'posh' milk jelly in a rabbit shaped mould and use cloves for the 'eyes' when I turned it out. For a party I used to make a strawberry one and sit it in some chopped up green jelly 'grass' :rotfl:
I digress. It was a NSD for me today.
I have ordered our Christmas free range turkey breast today - you have to have some sort of treat eh - and it will be about £30 . It will do quite a few meals though and we don't spend on pudding, mince pies or cake as my DH doesn't like them:D
Hope you all wrapped up warm - car was frozen over at the train station tonight Brrrrrand I had to use scraper.

Beer winter has well and truly arrived. Temperatures here are below zero.
£31 spend yesterday getting some lunch stuff veggies and after going to checkout I noticed I bought 2 of everything...was needed and will be used just didn't realise this when I was walking round. But also got a YS cranberry and chocolate loaf For 55p so will use this for a xmassy bread and butter pud. Hmmm yummy.
Going to go plan Xmas dinner now so can see if I can add it to my budget without increasing it.0 -
Phew, spent more than I expected due to nonplanning! Grocery shopping goes very well, I'm within my budget but last week spent a ton of money on food at the canteen because I wasn't prepared... Now out of work as my contract ended and still looking for a job so I hope that'll help me focus more on preparing food that I actually have planned.
Also ordered a pizza and some dessert on Saturday - that comes out of the entertainment budget though... Still wasn't a good idea.
Signature updated. Hardly anything left from my budget and it's only the 19th! Trying to stay within.6mo EF: £ /£

Tried to make rice pudding in the slow cooker last night.... epic fail!
About to start planning next month shopping so have plenty of time to research deals, have a few coupons that came in the post too. Excited, a bit sad I know but oh well.
I have a Mr T, A*da, poundla*d, Ic*land, L*dl, HBargain and a sainsbobs near me (accessable via walking/train/bus) so going to see if I can split my shop between these lot. Only downside is I don't drive and I work Mon-Fri so that only leaves Sat to go food shopping. May have to rely on getting the bulky/heavy stuff delivered and rest picked up as and when.
Also have had 3 NSD in a row. Need to pick up some milk, onions, mushrooms and tomatoes. should be able to rummage through freezer for rest of month. That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!
