Just been to Mr A to exchange some clothes and thought I would have a wee browse of the reduced section seeing as I have never really browsed or bought from there before....my thrill for the day
I got 6 breaded chicken steaks and 2 packs of 5 sausage rolls for £4.96 was rather impressed...sausage rolls will do lunches for my lil girl and chicken in freezer for meals or lunches.

I've just had Mr T order delivered. Total after Christmas bits took off (potential presents), substitutions and offers etc is £47.88. I will need 1% milk and spreadable butter from Mr M/C*-*p later, as cheaper there. Later in the week will get the offers that weren't available in Tesc*s too
Off to add total to sig.

Been thinking how to best keep track of my spending. I have a wee A6 notebook that I am going to 'surgically' attach to my purse (with an elastic band or bobble). I will use this to keep track of spending when out and about in shops and also when I order anything online. It will take a bit of practice to get into the habit of remembering to do it but I think it will be worth it.0

£1.66 spent this morning on the ingredients for minestrone soup which will do my lunches for the whole week.
I don't particularly want to use all the celery I've bought for the soup, but can't stand the stuff raw. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I could use it?
You could try celery soup.

I can't stand raw celery but I quite like it in soup. That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!

Hmm.... so I've not been keeping on top of updating this at all have I?Whoops - I've not been very well focussed for some reason
But, looking at what we have left in the purse, we've got £15 plus someshrapnel So I'll update the sig according to this. That's a super low amount bearingin mind the next grocery budget starts on 18th of this month but I'm going toremain optimistic as we have a packed to the rafters freezer, and plenty ofstore cupboard bits for this week. We have fruit in too, plus some fresh veg(and frozen), milk and bread in the freezer too.
I recon we still have plenty of meat for next week too, and at a push mightjust need to buy in fresh fruit, veg and milk, and maybe some pasta and rice.Oh , and some PJ pants next week for one of my LOs

I been keeping a spending diary since March this year- best thing ever to keep on top of your spending (food and others) and see if you can make savings. I keep all my receits and writte it in the diary each evening and then callculate it by day / week on how much I spent and on what?
This helped me to cut down drastically on eating out / going out and take-aways. Good luck with your diary, once you get use to it you will never look back!"NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS FREE FOOD"
