Right, i am determined NOT to buy anything from Tesco today. I will spend the time writing my shopping list for Friday instead. I think its my TOTM (sorry, TMI) and that's why i have been craving loads of junk food. It's not like me at all!
    So, a NSD here.

I did our first big shop of the month today, so £59.01 spent. I'll get £5.45 cash back, so £53.56 to come out of the budget. Used a lot of coupons and multi buys today, so feel I've got a lot in for my money! It's taken me a couple of hours to get my list right though..

Adding to the £14 from last week, I'm on target at £57.56/120. Can you believe November is almost halfway though already?!

Made a slight change in shopping habit & tried the orange SM as had £17 worth N*ctar points in rewards from paying energy bills. Was really annoyed when I went to Self serve check out to be told I couldn't use them?!? something to do with it not being my home store!!(Anyone else had this problem) I was going to Customer Service but the queue was huge. So I left & went back to Mr T and got my shopping in there, using vouchers & boost. £68ish worth shop for £22ish ... made me feel a little better

happened to me u just need to scan your card in this store once in 12 month to be able to spend point in the shop.if u never scanned it before in this store or it was over 12 month then u can't spend points there. bit stupid to me but that's how i learnt. so u can spend them there next time if u scanned your card

Got to be careful this week as I've already spent 43.46 of of my weekly budget of £56. Hopefully I should do it as I've everything I need for my food plan, so barring anything unexpected I'll get there.

I've budgeted £200 for food over Christmas. I think I'll make two lists, one which I can buy now and store, and one for Christmas Eve. In doing this I should be able to make use of things on offer as I've noticed over the last few years that there is very little on offer the nearer we get to the big day. The £200 is just for the two of us but it has to include everything, food, drink, treats from the 24th - 26th inclusive. How to others plan for Christmas?

Whopping spend of 40p today because I couldn't go past the supermarket without checking for YS items :o

Still, got a kilo of carrots and three bags of trimmed leeks, so I think that's pretty good. An evening of chopping and freezing awaits
  • Nsd for me today. Possibly different story tomorrow though as in work, therefore near to sbops.
