No (food) weekend shopping yet. Tomorrow, might go to the local food store and see if there are any "yellow-stickers" or "clearance" products. However, these seem to be getting less nowadays.
It might be tomorrow when I have used up half of my six batch-cooked recipes for this month.0 -

Nothing actually out but cooked 4 bags of mince & mushroom, 3 x mince chilli, 4 x thick individual beef slices. 5 x cupcake size gravy, All now in freezer. Butter chicken (2 or 4 meals) in bag in SC and sweet chicken drumsticks (2) in another bag in SC so all cooking together. Used freezer veg yesterday to make 6 portions soup. Getting ready for operation when I need to get foods out to have with jkt, mash, couscous, rice or (if I am lucky to have some-one bring in) chippy chips. Plenty of veg to choose from too and chops, fish etc but not that easy to bend and get from freezers. Got bread and milk in there too.
Just about ready in case I get early call.0 -

Just two "yellow stickers" today for the store cupboard (two bags of almonds 200gr total for 64p). Also, used another batch cooked recipe today making it 3 from 6 now, so near enough on schedule to use up all 6 this month?0

Week's menu done to use up some of my frozen cauliflower mountain, the pack of quorn mince which has been in there for years, and some of my dried bean stash, I just need to stick to it!
This will be hardest with the quorn mince as OH is a committed omnivore and I don't really like the taste/texture of it - the challenge is to turn it into a passable chilli and not just wimp out and cook something like beans on toast instead :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Weekly shop done so a few changes to the freezer:
Out: Mince quorn, frozen cauliflower, frozen bit of onion, frozen pureed tomato, last of the chicken wings for the dogs
In: Some YL bread and rolls, a bit of YL deli beef and some chilli mackerel, cut up small and frozen for going in sandwiches/salads for lunch
I'm starting to see it emptying out a bit, I could move the stuff and have the top shelf empty but it would mean redoing my inventory, but a few of the long term residents have gone and the things going in this week will all get used.
I'm soaking and then boiling a lot of my dried beans and chick peas, I'm doing lots together in a big pan to save gas so some of those will move from store cupboard to freezer but hopefully be easier to use! Separating them once I've boiled them will be the fun part :rotfl:0
