Using up 2017 freezer stored batch cooked recipes (several of each) =
4/11.
My expected online (food) grocery delivery was today instead of next week, in order to purchase some kitchen scales. However, only UHT milk bought and also wild bird food bought. (I shared the delivery costs with somebody else).0 -
I feel like my slow war of attrition is starting to have an effect!
DD made pizza today and was happy to use up one bag of OOD wholemeal flour. If I make some bread next week I could use up the other one. Just me and DH for dinner tomorrow night so will have some leftover curry from the freezer. Just stewed some odds and ends of frozen fruit which will go with a rice pud tomorrow too.
DH was going to throw out a jar of pickled chillis he’d been given, so I will start working through those.
So today:
In: Milk
Out: wholemeal bread flour, sad looking spudsweaving through the chaos...0 -
Hi everyone - hope your all good. Been living out of freezer n cupboards, tons of outs, but not been recording, soups, stews, curries, salads, etc. No spends this month (technically) for me. My friend did come 'round yesterday with a bag of shopping, but wouldn't take anything for it - I did try - I will treat her to something.
IN: 2 pks wraps, 2 pks falafel, 1 tub of houmous, 1 cucumber, 1 pk tomatoes
If I don't get cooking some of the fridge veg, they will have to be flung. I'm a bit useless making a 'nice' brocolli soup, but found a lovely combination - brocolli n coconut milk - really nice.0 -
