Hi guys .. Can I join in please ?
My freezer is bursting with stuff that we've never gotten around to eating and with this hot weather I need to clear some space for ice lollies

Lisa you are very welcome to join in.

Most of us are food hoarders on here, we can't resist 'bargains' My freezer contents go up and down like the proverbial yo-yo. At the moment they are on the way down but I struggle to keep it that way. I love cooking and growing fruit and veg but I always seem to produce or pick more than we can eat in a day, hence the freezers.

Today:- the idea was to have a barbecue so OUT 4 chicken thighs, sausages, and lamb burgers, then all partly cooked in the oven (I just finish them off on the barbecue as it's so much quicker and you still get the flavour) Guess what: the wind got up so we are having the lamb burgers indoors and the washing is drying in the wind.
IN half cooked chicken thighs and sausages, hopefully to make another appearance at the weekend

    Hi everyone
Found a plastic box of those mug shot things, don't know when I bought them and they are just in date so had one today for lunch and I will plough my way through them. Tonight I had some more strawberries from the lottie with ice cream that was in the freezer.
Slowly using stuff up, oh made a loaf in bm yesterday who flour and yeast that I had can't think of anything else at the moment.

    Just a "smug-4rse post" :)

Yesterday I'd finally emptied the freezer. All I had left fitted into a small freezer bag the size of a small clutchbag ... so I popped that into a tiny freezer bag in the fridge and defrosted the freezer.

Since then I've put 2 crumpets and half a loaf into the freezer ... but it's now pretty clear and empty, hopefully to receive "interesting food" instead of being the bags of endless veg I bought for Xmas.
