The good thing about being proactive with this challenge last month was that the OH and I finished with so much money to spare in the food budget that we had a meal out.
The bad thing about being so proactive with this challenge last month was that this month we had nothing in and as a result our shopping bill was so high that I've had to admit defeat and increase the budget.
I will try to keep to the spirit of this though and make use of our now shocking full cupboards and freezer.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020

OUT half a turkey carcass, plus a crown of turkey
IN treacle/ginger and spice cake x 2
Cold and windy here so I have just lit the Esse Ironheart. Going to make casserole and soup with the carcass and just cook the crown, all will fit in the Ironheart. I needed to use up a load of eggs hence the cakes, more to follow today but not sure which one as I need to look at the ingredients and use what I have in the cupboards.0
