OUT
Two turkey carcass's yesterday, now loads of stock and plenty of meat to refreeze and use in pies etc. Cooked in the Esse ironheart oven so it didn't cost a penny to cook.
Two large bags of sliced runner beans (and I mean large bags) enjoyed by the hens - all 200 of the little dears. Thank you for all your runner bean suggestions but I hadn't the heart to cook with them, there were just too many. I have another two bags to use and I probably will give them to the hens mid week, then I'll have another empty drawer.
I found an uncooked gammon at the bottom of the chest freezer, It is now defrosting and will make a very welcome change to the usual. It had a :xmastree: on the label
I also found a cake tin with half a chocolate fudge cake I'd completely forgotten about, - lovely surprise. Some was eaten at lunch and the rest will have custard over it as a pudding, healthy eating has gone out of the window today!!!

Hi guys, sorry I've been AWOL. Son's birthday followed by a funeral 300 miles away, catching up with work and home and then the start of half term it's been a busy time.
Glad to see you all seem to be doing so well. Cupboard, fridge and freezer are all full and grocery budget this month is insane. Totally blaming DS being off school so coming shopping with me..... Most likely not really his fault, but mine!
Might do an inventory when he's back at school. In the mean time I'll stick around and do the best i can to sort myself out!
I love hearing what people have grown. Plum and apple trees look like they are going to do well again this year and I'm thinking rhubarb and a few fruit bushes (blueberry and gooseberry) might get added this year. I've only a small garden but i like adding to it each year, even if i don't own it.0 -
Hi, it's been quite awhile since my last post. Then, I had thought progress was being made concerning using up stocks. However, now it seems like things have come around "full circle" again i.e. fridge freezer and cupboards are looking full again!0
