Out - 4 chicken breasts, frozen chickpeas.

Used up last of tandoori paste and nearly all of the tikka paste from the fridge. The chapattis and naans will come out tomorrow.

Freezer still overloaded with surplus of home grown red currents. Running out of ideas for using them up in recipes which don't have a surfeit of sugar. My two bushes are always embarrassingly bountiful!

They make a brilliant infused vodka or gin just follow recipes for sloe gin ( ideal for Christmas gifts) it ends up the most beautiful ruby colour or you can use instead of black currants to make cassis:)

Im thinking of making something like wraps tomorrow, I have chicken breasts in freezer, tortilla wraps, real chillis, thai spicy marinade paste and lettuce.

Or I can buy some yeast and make chicken and chilli pizza.

Use the wraps as a base? You could even sandwich two together with a bit of cheese between them. Or instead of wraps fold them over calazone style and bake.

In - Failed chocolate brownies. They will be fine with cream/ice-cream or custard, but are too dry to serve as brownies for this afternoon. Thankfully I made a vegan batch for our vegan guest:T

Lamb chops for DH for his tea, 2 x turkey pieces wrapped in bacon for me. A couple of Kgs of apple pieces cooked in the slow cooker which will be portioned and refrozen tomorrow. I find they take up less space once they are cooked.

Nothing but I'm reorganising what goes where so I have a better idea of what I have. Could be a long job.

Yesterday I made a lovely carrot and orange soup for lunch and it turned out so well i wish I'd made enough for leftovers! We had that with hm bread.

We went out when some friends and had them back for kids tea time to ours. Hubby was going to nip to the shops to get some fishfingers to feed them but i decided we could manage on what we had so i did baked spuds, beans and bacon for them. I think hubby was miffed as he was eyeing up the bacon for breakfast this morning. I only had enough ice cream left for one portion really so i divided it between 3 bowls, added some chopped banana, chocolate sauce and a biscuit to each and called it a sundae!

Tea for the adults was a UFO which turned out to be veggie shepherds pie so I'm feeling like i had a good day of using what we've got. :-)
