The march to financial freedom

Thanks SS and Ig - we need the garage freed up to be able to sort the Lego out! DS isn't interested in keeping any of it and if we can find one of the small figures that belongs on the front of a book we have, it is worth @ £10 on Zapper.
Gloss work completed, so just left with 2 coats for the ceiling and 2 for the walls. Much quicker than doing the kitchen and utility as less fiddly, so hoping to be all done in there on Thursday.
Tomorrow I need to get a voucher for a family member as well as the food shop - June has quite a few expensive birthdays and a couple early on, this being one of them. So need to work my day out, think it goes - Ceiling - town - food shop - ceiling again!
Financials:
- bank account checked
- freepostcodelottery (both) checked
- Nectar adpoints - another 7, so up to 32. Last week of month is usually poor for points and suspect that'll be the case this week.
- Nectar Canvass - 40 pointer done
- Nectar card - still £63.29, awaiting last week's adpoints
- Inbox Pounds - up to £8.69
- Qmee - nothing yet today but still time. EDIT: - I lied, picked up another 11p this morning!
Think that's all for today.Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -
So the planned early start on the spare room ceiling didn't happen as I slept in until 7.30am - very rare for the dogs and therefore me to be that late up.
The P!necone survey I did recently has culminated in a product being delivered this morning for testing, woo hoo - meant I could knock that item off the food shopping list and it also guarantees a follow up survey in 2 weeks and another £3. :j
Food shop done and spent £25.84 which I'm really pleased with, as it's pretty much a full week's worth of all meals and included meat. :T
Gift card purchased, birthday card written and now wondering if I need to get it weighed before posting. One positive that the old style paper vouchers had over the modern card type.
Not much done on the financials as it's early yet, but:
- bank account checked
- Nectar card value has gone up to £63.63
- Inbox Pounds has gone up to £9.07. Something weird going on there though as when it was supposed to add 5p, it only added 4p. Hmm.
Painting the ceiling twice is my goal for the rest of the day and should be achievable with a couple of hours wait inbetween coats - can check adpoints and freepostcodelottery then.
Feel rather skint after the spends yesterday and today and apart from our dental check ups tomorrow afternoon which are in the May budget, that should be it until June kicks in.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Progress report and update!
Ceiling painted twice, so tomorrow is the finale with 2 coats on the walls. Friend's father in law is a carpet fitter and having spoken to them, for £40 I've got a new piece (offcut) being supplied and fitted on Friday. Everything else will be what I've already got for now, until I can find what I want on Bay of E or Gumtree over time.
The rest of the financials then:
- freepostcodelottery (both) - checked
- Nectar Canvass - not looked at, but will shortly
- Nectar adpoints - now up to 47
- Qmee - 10p added to the pot
- Inbox Pounds - just 2p added there since earlier
DS has gotten on with homework today, having told me he had none for the holidays

There was 5 x 3 pointers today on mine - all film trailers, suspect one will be 'Ad of the week' worth double come tomorrow. I always seem to view it before the email arrives!Back on the DFW Wagon:

In typical fashion, I spoke too soon on the adpoints :rotfl: A triple pointer new ad was there this morning!
Today I've painted the spare room walls twice, so the room is finished and looks much cleaner and brighter and I've put a few things back (lampshade, curtains) and now await the carpet tomorrow. Have rolled up the old one as though it's naff in certain places (DS had this room 12 years ago as a toddler), I think the decent part is big enough to go in my study (current one is really worn through), so just need to store that for another round of decorating. My hunt for used furniture for it continues, but no rush on that.
We came through with a clean bill of health at the dental check ups, though DS is going to be referred to the Othodentist - alignment of his teeth is very good, however, his lower jaw is somewhat smaller than his upper (blame the genes) and the dentist thinks he might be recommended for jaw surgery at 17/18  DS not phased by this at all...at the moment anyway! A £27 bill for me that was budgeted (still no NHS space to move across) and an appointment next week with the hygienist at £42  that's just gone into the June budget.
In the post this morning, was another product for testing on the back of a Nectar survey, very useful indeed since it's expensive and was soon going to be on my shopping list!
In my email inbox this morning, was another P!necone survey as well - unrelated to the product test and post test survey - so have just completed that and another £3 will soon be winging its way over. :T
Financials then:
- bank account checked - I've moved the remainder of my salary for May over to start the new month
- freepostcodelottery (daytime) - checked
- Nectar adpoints - up to 60 now
- Nectar Canvass - not looked again
- Nectar Card - up to £63.83. I've emailed them about 2 eShop purchases from way back - 1 has been in pending for 6 months today, the other hasn't even shown up on the pending list!
- Inbox Pounds - up a little to £9.29 with 7, yes 7  surveys to try for
- Qmee - nothing yet today
June payments:
- Mortgage capital payment is set up for Monday (I did want to send it tomorrow but didn't get around to phoning to ask about 2 payments in one month) - for £775
- Debt payment - £424 is in the budget for that. I'll see how things go as to how much I can add to that during the month, as we have our weekend away at the end of it and I'm not really sure how much spending money we will need. Everything is paid for (hotel and 2 day festival tickets), except extra fuel, lunches and evening meals.
Can't believe we're almost at the end of another week and month!
Hope everyone has had a good day, at least the weather has brightened up here this afternoon.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Hi Ali. We had a cloudy rainy day here and have been mooching a bit, baking and eating the proceeds!
Although I've sorted a couple of appointments out. I really admire your organisation and am planning to get up and out tomorrow morning to get my tyres changed etc. then will spend the afternoon flying.
Looking forward to the financials tomorrow too as is payday!
Keep up the good work, I will keep on trying to keep up. :T:):rotfl:OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Hey SS, I wish I could motivate myself to bake more, we've even got strong flour and yeast as DS made bread rolls at school the other week. I've got a breadmaker from years ago in the cupboard too
I'm more the swan with the organised look on top, flapping like mad underneath :rotfl: . I spend most of the month playing with the spreadsheet for next month and then when I post the amounts I plan to pay, I get quite a shock at the size of them
If only there was a taker for the car..lots of plans when that goes, mainly involving using the garage to sort and sell stuff! I will be very organised then.
Have just done a survey and lots of tasks on IP - now at £10.04 :TBack on the DFW Wagon:

DD been making bread from Girl called Jack book. No yeast required, just lashings of butter, yum.
Sorry to hear about the car. Still you are getting on with things and forging ahead.
I'm waiting for confirmation from my new job. Taking forever, well feels like it. Have signed up for a couple of courses in anticipation including Sage and also enquiries about some volunteering
Fingers crossed we will both have good news soon. Hope you get a good sale soon.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Ali, just wanted to say a very big thank you for the tip about Energylinx re. my changing to Daligas.
I have just gone onto their website and Dalligas came up as the top one anyway - will save me £161.30 a year apparently and I'll be really pleased to get the £17 on top of that once I've switched. Save me nearly £15 a month overall and so easy.
Thank you.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10
