Hi Ali. Thanks yes. I am far less stressed, things are looking up. Thank goodness as I was in a real state. Am starting to take care of myself now and although things may slide at work, those are fixable whereas we humans are more precious.
My DD has a 6% account but can only pay in £100 a month and then is transferred out. I am going to set her up another account that she can transfer her savings between the two if that makes sense. She already has a cash card Halifax account which pitiful interest but ther is a young saver account which I understand gives more.
Need to crack on with the housework too and I have some work to do on my excel course. Just taking some time to sit and enjoy not being stressed out at the weekend from work.have a good day

Glad to hear that SS and loved the list on your thread too - might pinch a few ideas from it, if you don't mind.
Menopause is playing havoc and need to do more than just take the HRT!
Ooh which 6% account does your DD have if you don't mind me asking? The Junior ISA 6% is with Halifax too, but I'd have to open a Cash ISA as well (no big deal to put £1 in there) but need to look at the longer term.
DS has 4% Young Saver with LLoyds and 3% Under 18's Current also with Lloyds. I need to check those rates again as well, as they're crafty - they put the YS rate up but only if it was requested by the customer
I want to find a better current account too - Santander's 123 is looking tops at the moment for me.
Just sat and done a survey to get my Inbox Pounds pot up - so much for getting on with housework :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:

By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
I might have to join you on the sweet treat ban MiT - definitely developed a sweet tooth these last few months, when I'm meant to be eating like a chicken on seeds, nuts and celery :rotfl:
So annoyed about the jeans, they are all years old but beside the point. I simple can't fit into them comfortably anymore.I might check out T3scos ones as heard good things about them. Mind you, the pair I tried on in N3w Look were £9.99, so not overly expensive - that's where my previous pairs came from as fit was good.

Oh! Maybe I should go for the Halifax - they're still offering £100 to switch plus £5 a month according to the chappie behind the counter today.
Or maybe TSB is the way to go. Think theirs is 5% interest.
All a pain in the rear to be honest, as none have branches close by, so I'd still keep my Lloyds one open for cashpoint use and DS's maintenance to come into.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Hi Ali
Of course. Anytime. I can't repay enough the support I've had over the past few weeks. It really has been a lifeline.
DD has the Children's Halifax Regular saver. The details are on the MSE site. You can pay in £10 - £100 month. 6% tax free. For 1 year. Then your money is transferred and you start again. When I initially took it our for her about 4 years ago it was 10%!
She's also got a savings book account which is about 0.5% and a cash card account about the same. But I noticed Halifax have a Young Saver which has a cash card and 3% interest and want to open one of those so that after the 6% finishes it's transferred in. I would hide the card from her so she wouldn't be tempted although she is much better than me with money.
I am though now thinking about the Lloyds young saver you mentioned. At 4% that's better than the Halifax one. She could have all three and move the money around I guess.
Don't mention the menopause  I had all the windows open yesterday and everyone else was freezing. Then today went to Asda without a coat as I was boiling and when I came out I was freezing!
It's enough to drive you to a white chocolate magnum. Oh it did yum!
Hi Beanie Lou - I have got a Santander account but only for a few direct debits and to get the 3% on my little pot of savings/just in case fund. I haven't had any problems but don't use them that often. Find it a pain that if I enter my online password incorrectly three times (which i have strangely done twice now) I have to call and then wait for a new one to be posted to me which takes about a week:(:):)

I have a Santander 123 account and I really love it!!
I have been with Santander from when I was 13 and it was Abbey and in all the years of having current and savings accounts I have never had a problem.
I do know they are the worst bank for customer service though.
I noticed they are doing a Santander 123 Mini for kids, saw a poster but did not get the full details as was only in to pay in cash on lunch break.0 -
I am with Beanie re Santand*r - I wont hijack your thread but suffice to say I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. Its well documented their CS is carpBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi
