The march to financial freedom

Now seems like a good time to do my daily update, whilst the gammon joint is roasting away and I'm determined to get a candle lit relaxing bath and pamper time before DS nabs the bathroom :rotfl:
Lots of little things done, though had a shock when the energy monitor was flitting between showing 12KWs being used and 0  Turned out it needed new batteriesAll is well again since changing them!
- Small ironing pile of DS's school shirts done
- Dishwasher been on and emptied
- iPad was down to 21% - this has lasted since last weekend using just the radio, so have recharged that and seen a diddy saving on elec this week from readings
- More housework done
Financials
- bank account checked
- freepostcodelottery checked
- Nectar adpoints - 67 for this week
- Nectar Canvass - nothing for me today after my little splurge on them
- Nectar card value - up to £30.56. Just another £1.50 to get to Large Turkey purchase status, but we'll need XL..small steps and all that
- Inbox Pounds - up to £8.63.
-eBay - £45.99 of sales so far todayFees and postage (for one) to be deducted. 1 more item ends later, fingers crossed for another £9.99 sale
-Zapper - parcel has arrived there. Should know more later in week
- MM - have enough to send, need to find a box
- A NSD :j
I still need to get to town for e-cig juices, Tuesday morning looks my best bet.
Busy work week ahead scheduled and pay myself day on Friday. Considering Jan is such a long month, I am really pleased with my lack of general spending and extra amounts made here and there. The candle stocks are good and the freezer has a fair amount of batch cooked items in it.
A few trips are in the planning stage too - alongside Dorset in June, we'll be going to London for the day in March to meet up with my cousin and her DC - we'll be planning free things like museums and a picnic in one of the parks - I can get cheap train tickets in advance from our local Tourist Info place. We also have the trip to Wembley in late March and we'll have the outlaws visiting for a day that month as well. Suspect first car boot sale of the season will be in April in that case :rotfl:

Have you got a shoebox lurking anywhere indoors? they're usually the right size for cds.
Financials looking good, well done you! Enjoy the bath......!

Only one shoe box in the house which has an expensive pair of shoes in it for best/black tie events, so I don't want to use that if I can avoid it. Hopefully they'll be something in the garage - I'll take a look when it's stopped raining!
My eBay parcel is packaged up and ready to go, so that job is done.
After dinner, pamper time, then I need to prep school bags and get onto work stuff in readiness for tomorrow.
Where does the time go? :eek:Back on the DFW Wagon:

Hi, I've found that any shoe shop will be glad to give you empty shoe boxes, a lot of people prefer to just take the shoes minus the boxes (at least round here), I got about a dozen a few weeks ago to use as drawer dividers hthCredit card €7892.36/€ 0
Catalogues €767.52/€ 0
hospital costs €550

So, DS beat me to the bath and the eBay buyer for collecting an item has asked me to cancel the transaction as they've mistaken my location and am too far away. I don't mind doing that, but looks like I'll incur fees if I do a second chance offer to the other bidder.
The good news is I have a late watcher on the remaining item, fingers crossed that comes good, will know in a couple of hours.
I had another go at making the dog biscuits from LO gravy, egg and flour - they've come out really well this time and the doglets strongly approve :j
Gammon was gorgeous, plenty left for the next 2 days. Time for some Xmas chocolate nowBack on the DFW Wagon:

First item sold at £24.99 and paid :j
Both postal items are ready to go - will get those off tomorrow afternoon following work meetings.
Even after fees, a nice additional sum to go towards CC2. :j
And I got my bath and pamper time - full works of foot scrub, face mask, collagen wrinkle filler cream :rotfl:

Well done on your eBay and other successes. Looks like you are going great guns Ali.
Please can you share your dog biscuit recipe? I was thinking of making some biscuits for my gang as they are so expensive .... would love to try yours.0 -
I got the recipe from the Grocery Challenge thread, there's a few on there in the list of meals at the start if you want to try out different ones.
I went for the easy one :rotfl:
Little bit of left over gravy
1 egg mixed into it
Plain flour mixed into that until it becomes a dough
Roll out, any shape small cutter and bake on 180C until brown and crispy.
I got 30 out of my batch yesterday and if the dogs had their way, they would have all disappeared from the cooling rack :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:

Late update for today, been at Mum's this evening.
A good work day and DS had a good school day - he has a new 'job' in school in the library on rota across breaks/lunches a couple of days a week. This is great news for his confidence building and social/comms skills and he's very proud of this achievement as am I
eBay collector has been and gone, I'm £20 up and more space
Posted the other 2 eBay parcels today - total after all fees and postage is @ £41.
Zapper update is they're checking the items I sent to them. Out of curiosity I input some of the books that they couldn't take last time - and have a new pile of 3 to go! Need to go through all the piles of books again and see if I can create another box full.
Still to package up and send off Music Magpie pile - just not sure about using them, might try all of those on Zapper again first.
Financials:
- bank account checked
- freepostcodelottery checked
- Nectar adpoints - a new week and up to 52 points
- Nectar canvass - nothing new there yet
- Nectar card value - up to £31.56 - 200 more points from British Gas and last week's adpoints have boosted that nicely
- Inbox Pounds - a little increase to £8.76 which is from some little bits done yesterday. Going on there shortly to earn a few more pennies before bed.
No advance on Dorset or e-cig juice - the latter I need to do tomorrow before I run out. Also need to hand deliver the last Jan birthday card. Will then start writing Feb ones, as can hand deliver one of those on Saturday when dropping DS off at Mum's whilst I head off to work. Can just about stretch personal use petrol until the new month as well which is good news.
Hope everyone has had a good start to the weekBack on the DFW Wagon:
