That made me cry~ Thank you so much.

I didn't mean to make you cry - I'll have the Board Guides after me  :rotfl:

So I'd better come clean....if you follow Beanie's MFW journey and diary, you'll know she recently lost some home help without consultation and was also told if she wanted a walker, she'd have to buy one. So I've offered and Beanie has accepted to let me do that from the annual cheque I was waiting to receive. Hence when I mentioned banking it yesterday (and PMs to and fro) I set Beanie off. Sorry :o

Call it a belated Christmas gift, giving something back for all the support she has and continues to give on the boards and enabling a bit more independence...when you've recovered from your fall, so Get Well Very Soon and go shopping :D

PS. MiT - I've volunteered you for cleaning ;) :rotfl: - only joking!
    Back on the DFW Wagon:

    CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
    Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/18

Tuesday evening and where has the day gone

Spent this morning in the H@lifox - DS's reg saver is now open and has it's first £100 deposit, plus £5 as a second account has to be opened (£1 would have done but I needed that for parking :rotfl:).

Quick BTL chat as the mortgage lady was available - that looks fairly promising in terms of amount for borrowing, though realistically I need a bigger deposit. And some SA302s from HMRC which I'd want to include the tax year 14-15, so we're talking June/July after year end and SA submitted. We'll call this one an ongoing project :D

Made a boo-boo with work and an appointment clash  Sorted that out and then billable work done, getting home later after 6.

Dinner was indeed chicken, chips and beans, seems my creative streak has run out :rotfl: with Heston Blumenthaal (sp!) chocs from Christmas (just a few ;)).

    Financials then:
    - bank account checked
    - freepostcodelottery checked
    - Nectar card - £28.52
    - Inbox Pounds - £5.48
    - Qmee - nil points

Tons of work stuff to do but need an early night (after I watch Silent Witness though :o). TV 1 - Work 0 in that case :D

Off for a quick catch up on diaries and hope everyone has had a good day.

Regarding the BTL, get yourself a good broker. You will need around a 25% deposit as well as the usual costs associated with buying a house. Have a plan for when the place is empty because it will be at some point.
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500
  • Now I am blubbing!

I did see your cryptic post about the money that you got in being gone to an excellent cause... How incredibly lovely!

Secondly I cannot believe I did not know beanie has a blooming diary!!! - I am always looking for her on the wrong thread see!

As to the BTL, man... SA302's and such make me laugh. Takes me right back to work! 3 years worth of accounts plus SA302's, don't forget any other *income* such as tax credits etc can be included if you can prove them for x amount of time. Alex is right on the deposit. BTL's are harder to get without proof you can pay it off. You also need to have a couple of valuations done on the prospective house to tell you what the rental value could be to offset! :D And also remember that rules on empty property have changed slightly and you don't get much grace period before you are paying the council tax etc.

I've already used 6 eggs out of the dozen I picked up today. I love egg sandwiches! We can go thinking of each other with our smelly eggy pack ups ;)

Yay for the regular saver too. Need to sort out Jellytots, but you're right the appointment are rubbish! Also a bit scared. Last time I went in I mystery shopped them with two listening devices. Eek!

    Have a good night xx

Evening Diary and thank you for such lovely comments and a very warm welcome Enjoying Life More.

It's a pleasure to be able to give - Beanie - thank you for letting me. :). There are few things more precious than health and the effort and hard work it takes to battle on.

A stark reminder today of how cruel and short life can be when I read about the sad passing of Kissjenn :( and I've contemplated much today at work - the whys, how can we live for the moment, create fantastic memories for free or without breaking the bank. I lost a good friend to the Big C a few years ago - she was in her 20s and married for just 1 year. DS got a big hug when he got home from school - he's quite the huggy type even at 14 :D but I worry about his future with his Aspie stuff. The BTL for now could be his home of the future...ahh, rambling now!!

Alex - getting a good broker is paramount I agree and I think it'll be in the summer when things get looked at again. Gives me time to save more and will have plenty of energy post holiday I hope :D

Lilt - My onesie isn't half as good as yours, but I'm snug in mine post shopping and kept the heating at 19C.

    Financials then:
    - bank account checked - £3 from P!necone transferred in and transferred straight out to my TT Pot - now £86.01. Mortgage capital payment is going tomorrow (as I won't have time Friday morning to phone them) for £760. Partly paid myself today, will do the rest Friday when I have final figures for the month.
    - freepostcodelottery checked
    - Nectar card still £28.52
    - Inbox Pounds up at £5.52
    - Qmee - still empty

Managed to roll my food shop day forward to tonight, so we're getting 8 days of each weekly shop at the moment :j Going to try that on a 5 week month and see if I can use 4 week's budget money :D. Spent £22.19 which includes a big dog food bag. Will update sig with total for Jan.

Finally filled up with fuel and chuffed I've lasted a month on a tank, though not surprising as I'm only driving very locally. Sbugs had also reduced their price to match Morries today, so an extra saving on top of using the 8p off a litre voucher saving £2.64 and spending £32.32 (squeezed in 33.01 litres!).

I've still got the frustrating change of package to sort with T@lk T@lk - had an acknowledgement of my complaint and now a bag through to send the free tv box back in, but also a new contract letter that is wrong

The opportunity to do some billable work on Saturday has come my way, so I'll be doing that - DS is off to his friends anyway which is handy and it's batch cooking weekend with chilli and bolognaise stocks to be replenished.

Hump Day almost over and I've got 3 nice billable days ahead of me. That's the way to end the month and start the new one :j

  • Yay for billable days!

And for cheap petrol. That is almost back to 4-5 years ago ;)

I love getting 8 or 9 days out of the shopping. Baking bread helps loads!

Have a good night hun xx

What and amazing thing you have done for Beanie Ali - watching something this morning or maybe yesterday morning (not very with it tonight!) about human kindness and the fact that there seems to be more of it around at the moment - this just proves it!
