Thanks Alex - that combo of meal planning and not needing to buy a whole week's meals - mixing freezer and store cupboard items and then shopping for just the needed bits. :) Oh and more left overs than I anticipated from the beef brisket which is covering my lunches for a few days. :D

Work is good - though has meant I'm behind on writing a new business plan (like doing a list so I love doing it :rotfl:). Got to get my thinking cap on...where do I want to be with work in 3 years time is the question  :D

Have you tidied that bedroom of yours yet? ;):rotfl:

I still haven't managed to get my head around using the freezer. :rotfl:

Do you write business plans for your own business even though it's a going concern or is this something new in the pipeline?

Not got around to tidying anything yet, it's planned for the weekend.

You need one of these Alex - http://organizedhome.com/printable/household-notebook/freezer-inventory :D

I do indeed write business plans for my business - things I want to achieve with time lines. I run it like a proper big company with 1 and 3 year plans - the move to the office well and truly scuppered the current one though :rotfl:. It's a really good focus, plus it's an excuse of another spreadsheet with pretty colours ;)

Good news on the tidy up :)

Just sorting DS for bed so a quick update:

    - DS's laptop back and he's wearing a smile again. Hoo-flipping-rah :rotfl:
    - busy work day/eve
    - No Spend Day
    - financials - little change, though picked up 11p on Qmee :D

Proper post tomorrow night (that'll be a long 'un then :rotfl:)

Just looked at your link, the thought of keeping track of so many things is a scary one ... Never before had I imagined people know what lurks in the freezer, note down when they clean what, have a checklist for school uniform or a "before we leave" checklist. If I had all those checklists to write, I'd never do any of the aforementioned things or be able to run a business alongside for that matter. :rotfl:

I only use the freezer one - it's really good to keep on top of the contents and use stuff that could otherwise be lurking in the depths for months, even years

The only other checklist I do is a holiday one. I don't clean often enough to need one for that :rotfl:

I sometimes write a list if I've quite a bit of stuff I need to take into the office that's not work - usually for a Monday when I need fresh milk as it'd get forgotten if not staring me in the face :rotfl:

    Morning Diary,

'Tis not a good one and I'm taking the day off of work. My left side is all weak again with horrible pain in my elbow and thumb so bad I can't use it - amazing what it's needed for really. Neck grinding when I can turn it far enough...stiff/sore feeling on the right side of it and just for a full house the vision is weird. So unbalanced on my feet again and feeling like I'm going to topple over. Nice. Especially as I get the frustrating news that Kings haven't received my referral this morning and its the Consultant chasing it up via my cousin :mad::mad::mad: and one more as I'm so angry

Sequence of events for background (and recording this in writing as I have a complaint to make).

Saw GP on 29th Dec 2014 - who agreed to the Second Opinion and took details of the Consultant and their fax number.
Saw GP on 13th Jan 2015 - who confirmed letter had been faxed.

    So this morning, it transpires:
Letter not written until 13th Jan 2015, letter not faxed but posted - their admittance it was probably sent on 15th and second class... fan-flipping-tastic.

I ask for a copy (so I can scan and email it direct today to Kings) to which it is finally agreed after some 10 mins waiting on the phone I can have. They say will re-send themselves too - agreeing to fax it. I live in hope.

In the meantime, I go up to the surgery walking like a drunk, nice, as I can't focus eyes well enough together to drive even locally today - which is met with odd looks by all and sundry, not least the Receptionist. I have a brainwave, I'll get a copy of the original referral to local hospital too- as this one was 'lost', or 'not received' by hospital either some 6 weeks later when I chased up appointment as it was urgent. 20 questions later (why, why and more why do you want it) I am able to leave with both referral letters. Why do I get a feeling someone is covering something up?

I read the second opinion referral letter - heavens above, no wonder no-one can work out the problem when they don't even write the correct symptoms or the correct body parts :mad:

So I'm taking matters into my own hands. I'm writing my own letter with the facts and dates and symptoms to email with the referral to Kings.

I am not sure if I live in hope of something positive happening, let alone a resolution.

If I treated my customers like this, I wouldn't have a business left and I'd spend all my time dealing with complaints.

I could cry :(:(:( but will put the kettle on instead. :D

And sod it, opening a box of chocolates as well :rotfl:

    So sorry to read this.

I suppose I am lucky in not having been through similar but have been involved with various family members where the same thing has happened - referrals not made, promises broken and letters either not being sent or lost. Total incompetence.

Concentrate on getting the result you need - if you think the complaint will help which I would guess it might then do it but there will be time to get really angry later when you're feeling well again :)

Being angry and stressed is much better when we're feeling well isn't it?

I wish you the speediest recovery Ali.

Well the good news is Kings have both the referral letter and my timeline of symptoms now, so that is moving. Shocking service by the GP surgery, but then it's 3 weeks for a routine appointment so they're obviously under the kosh all the time.

I've popped one of my prepscription strong anti-inflammatories tonight (ones you can't get anymore - so am careful with their use and they're just about still in date) and hope I am better by tomorrow as I've a day on client site. Will be sleeping on the heat pad tonight too.

Just to round off a frustrating day, I've been trying to sort the phone and broadband package - as what I agreed to over the phone is nothing like what they emailed in confirmation! 5 phone calls later (so common to get transferred and cut off, I might as well do it myself when they tell me I need to speak to a different person :rotfl:). Finally got a resolution this afternoon and hey presto, the email yet again doesn't match the agreement  Now all I get when I phone is Tony's Hart's picture gallery music from Take Hart (for those that remember it :D). Email fired off again - I don't foresee a happy ending with this, think I'd better look to move provider.

    Financials then:
    - bank account checked - mortgage interest payment gone out. Sticking with £860 for capital payment on 30th Jan :D. Will do expenses reimbursement and TT tomorrow
    - freepostcodelottery checked
    - Inbox Pounds up a tad to £4.73
    - Nectar card still £28.09
    - Qmee - am going to move that 11p to get it into my interest earning TT Pot :D

A No Spend Day again :j. Hand delivered a birthday card but realised I was a day late  Profuse apologies made. Two more to post second class that are ready to go - must get those in the postbox at the weekend.

Hope everyone has had a better day then me! :D
