I wish I could be one of those. Talk about a first world problem. My company car is due a change and I hate the thought of having to get used to a new one.

You're not driving the right cars. ;) What's on your list?

    :eek::rotfl::rotfl:

I go AWOL for the day and look what happens ;):D

So Sunday has passed in a flash but wasn't the chilled out day I'd hoped for really. Being SE, once I start to reply to the Christmas holiday emails I get replies...and things to do...and meetings to set up...and work to diary and plan...and hey presto, that was this morning gone. January looks to be busy, which is great for the finances but I've got to be careful as I felt myself getting stressed just doing that....

A RL friend that has done lots of small practical things to help me recently and rarely asks anything in return, today asked me to help them look for some interior purchases. I was only too happy to oblige - it got me out for a while and indulged my love of all things housey without buying anything :D. We popped into the office on the way back at their suggestion and took down the Xmas tree and decs there so I'm ready to return on Tuesday and start work. :T

Back to get dinner on and then a bit of a panic - DS pipes up he's got some homework to finish that he's stuck on  and is sounding very anxious about returning to school. Cue slight change of plans as I need to create space tomorrow to help him as I'd planned to have lunch with another friend and go into town.

Cycled for 17 mins/7 miles whilst dinner was cooking :D Had to squeeze that in somewhere :rotfl:

So lunch postponed and am going to town first thing instead. Sat down with DS after dinner and we've talked through his worries and have an action plan and he's much happier. Phone calls too, so a busy evening.

I have 3 lists now :rotfl: Work stuff, town stuff and DS stuff to do.

Upshot of today was a No Spend Day.

    Financials:
    - Bank account checked
    - freepostcodelottery checked
    - Nectar card value £25.40
    - Inbox Pounds - £3.86
    - Qmee - still 24p

Early night beckons so apologies I won't get to catch up on as many diaries as I'd like but will hopefully do that tomorrow.

Trying so hard not to get stressed and rush, but it seems inevitable :( Must do a relaxation podcast tomorrow and learn how I can have lots to do and not feel overwhelmed :)
    Back on the DFW Wagon:

    CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
    CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
    Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/18
  • Deep breathing... break it down into small and manageable chunks. Use a little of your wisdom with helping DS to overcome his worries, on yourself. Do the same thing for you! :)

Ali, that's great news about work. :) However, only do what you can.

Sorry to hear your son is anxious about returning to school and hope you managed to have a reasonable discussion and that all is OK now. My son does not wish to return to nursery but I cannot really have a reasonable discussion about it with him.
