Brogden, you certainly aren't the only one in awe of Ali's organisation and management.
Ali, it sounds as if you've had a rather productive weekend. As for savings goals ... what's this "savings" word you speak of?2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -

You can, though have to take it out to check how far it's burnt down and I never do it without the safety disc in place and a towel underneath that - just to protect myself in case the 'ash' breaks off.Brogden, you certainly aren't the only one in awe of Ali's organisation and management.

Been a really good weekend Alex, definitely helped by the meds prescribed stopping the dizziness.
Ahh savings - I can see that getting as addictive as debt busting and op'ing the mortgage. One thing I wanted to achieve was to have the amount of money I got from the sale of the car saved by time I'd paid the debt off and I've already achieved that even with using some to get the office :T
Emergency fund/savings combined end of this month looks to be £8,310 :jBack on the DFW Wagon:

Evening Diary,
Had another nice day not doing alotand can quite easily get used to this and will after tomorrow :rotfl:
Scan result letter arrived in the post saying it was 'unremarkable' - meaning nothing nasty found (good news). The bad news is next appointment is May 2015 - there's no way I can go for another 5 months with this odd vision, feeling like I've 2 completely different halves of the body and being unbalanced, so I've taken up a family member's offer to help get a second opinion on the NHS but with a top Neurologist at a London hospital, rather than the junior guy I'm down to see. I'll ask my GP at my 29th December appointment to sort that.
History has not found issues (or mis-diagnosed me) twice at our local hospital but ended up with emergency surgery both times, so I don't have the confidence that perhaps I once did in it.
Financials then:
- bank account checked - slightly increased mortgage capital payment on 30th December to £760 so plenty of spreadsheet fiddling still going on
- freepostcodelottery checked
- Nectar - no change at £24.18
- Inbox Pounds - small steps up to £3.27
- Qmee - 6p added up to 57p
Yay for finishing work tomorrow :j:j:j and then to battle Ald! for a few fresh veg bits I think.
Didn't get to the cinema - DS had got into the GCSE Science paper he was given to do and wanted to get that done. Good lad! We might go Boxing Day instead as we did last year (or year before can't remember which :rotfl:) It was so quiet and nice to get out after staying in on Christmas Day.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Ali, you are doing incredibly well. £8,310 is enough to buy a nice, usable Triumph Stag ... However, I suspect you are not quite as stupid as I.
Very sad to hear about the hospital unreliability but hope the second opinion is consistent. I do hope you get the issues with your vision sorted as soon as possible.2018 totals:

:rotfl::rotfl: Noooo Alex, savings aren't for spending...especially on cars, since I can't drive very far and have a 9 month old one sitting doing not alot on my driveway at the moment . Still, have hardly used any fuel so guess that's the bonus.
Cousin is speaking to the Neuros at her workplace to find out who'd be best to get referred to, so that ball is already rolling. Hopefully GP will agree to it as they have to do the letter. I'll have a name and fax number by tomorrow.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Evening Diary
I have finished work for 2014. Big Yay! :j:j:j I've also paid myself for the month and expenses too. Just a few bits and pieces to finish off on the admin side and that'll wrap up work completely for the year.
I braved the local Sbugs rather than trying to get across town in nose to tail crawling traffic and spent £7.05 on fresh food we need for Xmas Day. Bet that would have been less than a fiver in Ald!
Have one lots of presents still to deliver, will try and do that tonight as they should be home - ended up being disorganised on that one.
Mum was taken into hospital today too - someone's sniffle has left her quite poorly for the last couple of months and her breathing and the resultant infection haven't improved after 2 courses of steroids and antibiotics. She is home as she's adamant she's still coming for Christmas lunch here. I think I know where I get my stubbornness and drive from :rotfl:. A real pain I can't drive over there to help, but DB and family doing their bit.
Not much to report on the financials, usual bits done and my 13 days of doing what I want can begin
Tomorrow is our annual hit town in the afternoon for hot choc and all the trimmings and see the Christmas lights - is usually quiet and I'll pop into the T3sco there to see what YS stuff there is - usually fresh turkeys and plenty of meat - if I can get a beef brisket that'd be a great addition to the freezer stock.
Feeling festive now :xmastree::xmastree::xmastree:Back on the DFW Wagon:
