But I'm torn
it's those little bits that add up albeit e-v-e-r s-o s-l-o-w-ly
. Perhaps the half way house is taking a break from it and starting up again with renewed vigour in the New Year?
Another little bit is on it's way to me, as surprise surprise, Qu!dco has just sent me £4.82 for the sat nav purchase back in June! I've requested the cheque from IP for £20.10 and if I cash out the 60p in my Qmee pot, then that's another £25 of free money off the CC. :j
INOD is right on her thread, stuff does seem to come at once then it's slim pickings for a while.
Today I've been a right skiver from workonly spent 3 hrs in the office, but headed out to a flooring place to try and get hold of a replacement door bar. At £25  for one I was about to leave when the chap suggested checking against their universal stuff. Hey presto, for £8 I'm sorted.
In the post came my most exciting letter of each month - the new mortgage interest amount is (drum roll...) £384.43 - 44p more than I calculated but still it's down £2.56 on last month
Financials then:
- bank account checked. CC payment showing online :j
- freepostcodelottery checked
- Nectar - nope, not feeling the love today either :rotfl:
- Inbox Pounds - added 3p, cashed out £20.10 and am on £1.01 as they always give £1 to start the next pot and I need to stay active on the Paid Emails in order for them to process the cheque on 19/11.
- Qmee - nothing new, still 60p
I still need some YS lamb for the freezer, so either going to pop to Sbugs or Morries (or both!) and see if I can get a leg reduced. DS would prefer me to do the weekly shop, as the cupboards are bare. Must be another growth spurt as it's not quite a week since the last shop was done
Christmas is bothering me, I've done nothing more than move the presents I bought in the Jan sales to the spare bedroom and get the old unused spare cards out. Problem is not knowing what I still need and if I see a bargain whether I can utilise it. I suppose there is always putting it by for next year thoughI have to get a book for my Mum that she wants though could use points in SB if not over-priced compared to online.
Time to hot foot off of here and out the door.Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -
A quick trick to SBugs and a bit of a haul in there:
2 x YS loaves - 38p
Oral B mouthwash - £1.50 using 200 bonus points voucher
Hot roast chicken reduced from £5.75 to £2.75
Large Tresemme shampoo and conditioner - on offer £5 for both
200 Basics tea bags - £1
2 x choc chips for baking - £1.60
Used a double nectar points voucher as well.
So having roasted a chicken on Sunday and it lasting 3 days, now got another one to use over the next 2 :rotfl: No luck on getting a YS lamb leg thoughBack on the DFW Wagon:

A busy work day, knew skiving off yesterday would catch up with me, but didn't think it'd be that soon . Still, shows the business is busy and viable even with the office overheads and I'm becoming more certain that the capital mortgage payment on 1st December can have a Christmas bonus attached and be £1,100. :j
Had opticians appointment today and saw the Senior Partner, he's done a slight change to prescription, fortunately it's the same change as in the summer but to the other eye, so I've got spare contact lenses that I can use to try that out. I've also got very red and dry eyes that has come on in the last week or so, so some expensive drops later to use (£9.45 including 10% discount as am a member paying £5 a month that covers all sight tests and contact lens checks) and I'm back in 2 weeks to see how things are.
A week of chicken continues :rotfl: after the bargain purchase last night:
Sun - was roast chicken
Mon - was chicken casserole
Tue - was chicken curry
Today - was chicken and chips (not very inventive I know)
Tomorrow - will be chicken and bacon pasta
Friday - anything other than chicken... :rotfl:
Financials then:
- bank account checked
- freepostcodelottery checked
- Nectar - card value up at £72.63
- Inbox Pounds - £1.04
- Qmee - still 60p
DS came home with his school report tonight - another excellent one :T. We've Parents Eve next week so I feel quite happy facing his teachers with that knowledge.. His cooking on the other hand left alot to be desired and the dogs aren't too interested either :rotfl:
Tomorrow I've got to take DS to his Podiatry appointment, so another half day away from work and he'll get a good hour off of school.
Think that's it for today, other than fuel seems to be lasting noticably well this month, helped by very little distance driving admittedly, but the mpg drops with round town stuff so still a good result. This time last year, I'd just put the sports car through it's MOT, so it's good to know I haven't had to pay that out this year.
Hope everyone has had a good day.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Friday will be Chicken In Need rather than Children in NeedFree eggs would be good though
DS is after a financial reward for his report now - I've pointed him in the direction of my Mum as she started that little earner :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:

Well done Ali
I had seriously dry and red eyes with contact lenses all of a sudden but we're all made differently
You are helping me to feel much more 'mortgagy' (is that a word??)
Seriously, in the middle of my 'unsecured hell,' I am going to start. I have thought of a few things I could do about this. I had better post my ideas on my own thread and will but thanks!!x

Thanks Brogden,
Mortgagy is like Christmassy...works for me. It's a bit addictive too, even down to colouring in metaphorical bricks on a spreadsheet! Small things please small minds in this house and keeps me motivated
