    All in, all fine!

For me, the worst part was the anaesthetic, that was actually quite painful! However it meant I the coil insertion was pain free. I bled a little afterwards and my tummys a bit sore but overall, the few seconds of pain are gonna be worth 5 years of freedom!

Fingers crossed these next six months go quickly and everything settles down :)

Have had mine for 6 months now and it took a while to settle in. I could feel the metal strings when I moved, in fact if they are lying wrong Ill still get a nip but it's so good to have no periods now. Bleeding stopped altogether after 3 months. Fitting it was nearly the worst pain I,ve had. No GA was offered and biopsy was carried out at the same time. Due to the pain don't think I'd get another one fitted.
  • Can you ask nicely for GA when having Mirena? I REALLY want another one, I'm not getting on with Nexplanon, but can't have another fitted normally due to LLETZ.

thought i would report how i am getting on - its been 6 months since i had it fitted. Periods continued on as normal - found them to be much lighter but seemed to last an extra couple of days. This changed in december where i only had a very very light period for 72 hours. :T

I did not have one during January - had a few hormones around the usual "time" but these disappeared after a few days. All in all i am pretty pleased that i had it fitted. Its been a (very surprising) blessing. :T:T, and the difference it has made to my life is brilliant ! Re
