Horrific news yesterday : a lovely ex colleague and friend collapsed and died in work ...aged only 43. Life is so precious and I am hugely saddened by his loss.
Times like this remind us all of our own mortality and it makes it even more important to find the balance between OPs and enjoying life.
I did a survey at home last week and had a love2shop voucher in the post today and am going to treat myself to new boots with it...
I have a date with a nice fella too so we're off for dinner tonight as DS is with his dad...I'm working all day today as the business is manic this week tooOriginal mortgage £154,850 (2013)

Had far too good a night on Saturday and missed my train home!! Ended up paying £35 for a taxi...fuming with myself and not very MSE!!
Made up for it yesterday by having a NSD and putting some more stuff on fleabay ...
Back to it today...busy day in work to come!
There's been a story on social media this weekend about a young couple that have saved very hard for their deposit and bought a house at a very young age. I thought it was a lovely story but the negativity that they have received on line is shocking!! Why can't people be pleased for others success?Original mortgage £154,850 (2013)

Morning, i agree it's quite sad how people are not happy for another's success. I personally feel it doesn't take anything away from me so I can't understand how folk can get bent out of shape just cos someone else wants to live a different way, I love it when someone else does well and am genuinely happy for them. Hence my hanging about these forums encouraging others wherever I can, you too are managing really well, well done

Just popped into the butchers in our local market...6 sausages, 4 pieces of marinated chicken and 500g of mince...£10...that will make 12 meals for DS (I'm veggie!)
I'm going to make chilli con carne as a batch cook, and he's got 2 garlic chicken and 2 piri piri as well as the sausages...I spent £14 in Tesco on Monday and I'll pick up some more fruit and veg from the green grocer tomorrow...shopping this week under £35 and I won't need to buy any meat next week either!Original mortgage £154,850 (2013)

Both my one poll and you gov are nearly ready to pay out...I only need a few more surveys on each...that's going to be a very nice OP of £90
I watched the Apprentice again last night...I'm lost for words..how on earth do these people run their own businesses!!!! I work so hard in mine every day...I really despair of them!!Original mortgage £154,850 (2013)

TCB is now at £192 so I'm excited for it to roll on to 'payable' ...I'll have to be patient , it takes a while...
Was at parents forum at school last night ..it went on til quite late due to a nasty fight in one of the year groups last week...I honestly I despair of kids today!! My son was nowhere near it but still !! So by the time I got home, both DS and I were starving so I chucked together sausage and mash for him and a frozen veggie tart thing for me with mash..it was ready in 25 mins even though I peeled the spuds and made the mash fresh...not particularly inspiring or healthy but it fed us!!Original mortgage £154,850 (2013)

Still full of lurgy but I managed a full day in work yesterday...succumbed to fish and chips to feed us both though...I just didn't have the energy to cook!!
I watched Strictly and then DS and I watched Mrs Browns Boys with microwave popcorn...we probably disturbed the neighbours due to our roars of laughter!!!
So I have a special treat for DS today...he is animal mad so we are booked in to the cat cafe...10 rescue cats live there and the cafe supports the rescue charity! It's more expensive than a normal lunch as you have to pay to go in too but he'll love it and it's a great cause! Both my cat and dog are rescues and they are amazing pets! So not a very MSE weekend but we have to have some treats!Original mortgage £154,850 (2013)
