I'm still prepping like mad for my interview on Friday....feeling nervous but confident! I'm looking forward to knowing where I stand and being in a position to make a decision.
The holiday is nearly paid off and another debt is due to end next month which is great news. I'll move that payment on to something else and hopefully get all the debts bar two paid off by the end of the year which will be fab!:T
DS has been working really hard in school and making me very proud...he has been saving his pocket money up too for the holiday. We had a slight blip when he dropped his ipod and smashed the screen...we went halves but it was still £20 each to replace it! I know it sounds harsh asking him to pay half but he'd taken it out of the cover despite being told not to so it was a lesson learned!
Off to walk the dog now before work....hope it's sunnier for a lot of you than it is here...very foggy this morning!Original mortgage £154,850 (2013)

Holy Cow...its been ages since I updated!!
Well the business is up and running and I am going part time in work!!:D They agreed and I am just waiting for my app to go through!
Life has been incredibly manic and I've been working 16 hour days some days to get everything done but we are up and running!! There's enough to pay a part time wage to me so I'm going to take that and part time from my job but I really hope not to be there by Xmas!Original mortgage £154,850 (2013)

Hi everyone and a very merry xmas!!
Well I've been a busy sleepygirl working in my business and part time at my work!! I'm thrilled to say that the business has taken off sufficiently to enable me to resign!!! YAY!!! I finish this week and I couldn't be happier!!:T
The business will match my wages and hopefully increase on them as we keep growing...it;s very exciting and I'm looking forward to spending more time with DS who is now 10!!
I stayed within budget for Xmas and saved all year with the voucher company that I always use...it paid for everything, I saved my Mr T vouchers and coupons for Xmas and my food shop only cost £60 as a result of this!! I have enough food here for another 2 weeks too (bar some fresh fruit, veggies etc!)
I will be providing some proper updates hopefully from now on...missed you all and have been spending some time this evening reading all the updates!!

Quick tilly tidy of £5.94 paid off the mortgage last week
Another of £1.84 today
Am saving all my pennies and change from my purse to do some much needed decorating in the house...first room is mine!! Already bought some gorgeous new bedding in the sales...2 sets for £20! a repaint, some new flooring and furniture next...small steps
We booked our holiday last year when the low deposit and offers scheme was on...have been paying that off monthly..I've got another £80 to pay on that this week saved up too...I know some people will think its not very MSE to go abroad but my plan is not a 2 year pay off like some...I couldn't go 10 years with no holiday..too depressing!
Am trying to make savings in small ways too...have not used the tumble dryer at all this year...I've either been washing on sunny, dry days or using the central heating that was on anyway to dry clothes...my monthly dd has reduced by £10 .
I changed my life insurance over with top cashback and got £70 cashback so that will be a nice little sum in a couple of months too...
Stay warm everyone...it's chuffing freezing in Wales!!Original mortgage £154,850 (2013)

Had a lovely walk with DS and our lab this afternoon....totally free albeit a bit chilly!!
Paid another £80 off my holiday and upped my regular OP by £10 to compensate my DD going down:)
My best mate is nearly MF now, they have 4 or 5 more payments...I'm so pleased for them! they pushed their mortgage into 5 years and have been battling away at it and have done really well! They are in a different position to me..no kids and 2 full time wages but I'm determined to try harder in 2015....by June I want my mortgage to be under 151,000 and by December under £150,000. I OP now (as off today) by £70 per month so that's only really an extra £30ish a month to find...should be doable...wish me luck!!Original mortgage £154,850 (2013)

My new bedding came today....it's gorgeous!! It's all washed and ironed and on my bed...will be getting in it tonight and watching some more 'orange is the new black'...what a fab series!
I've still been nowhere near a supermarket...still eating up the leftovers and out of the freezer! We've had cereal and fruit juice for breakfast, scrambled egg on toast for lunch and chicken kiev/tortilla, mashed potatoes and peas for dinner....and lots of xmas choccies in between of course! Got to use them up!
Got paid early today so have transferred the money for concert and show tickets to friends...all the bills go out then tomorrow and I'll know what we've got left. Hoping to buy paint and a door for my bedroom this month...new flooring next month then...
Tomorrow will be a bit spendy (it is NYE!) we are going for a meal with friends and then to winter wonderland and to watch the fireworks. I won't have a night out in January so I don't mind that this may be a expensive one...I've budgeted £100 so fingers crossed we stay within it....Original mortgage £154,850 (2013)
