Did your partner make her complaint through the official channels within the company and what was their response?

Was an investigation instigated and has the result if that investigation been made known to your partner?

I don't understand your point? We all can do with help and advice and assistance from time to time. If you never do and your partner never does, then good for you.

You are taking some high and mighty stance that does not even make sense. It has nothing to do with whether you are male or female.

There's a big difference in helping someone and doing what your doing.

You seem intent on taking over making everything personal and about you. This is supposed to be about your girlfriend handing in her notice yet you seem to only display what you want.......

  • Why is everyone attacking the OP? Lots of people post to get advice for their partner or other member of their family, yet only this particular OP is told it's none of his business. The people in this thread seem to be saying that OP should ignore his girlfriend's problems and leave her to face it all on her own, and ILW is even insinuating that trying to help your girlfriend is sexist. I really really don't understand this thread.

Firstly OP you have to have proof what was said, was anyone else offended by the comments? Maybe witness's will not come forward or even back your gf up. After all the other person has been there for longer and has their feet under the table as such, and your gf only been there for 3 weeks guess who the company will side with.

It is admirable you are sticking by your gf, but in my experience of the work place whether you are black, asian, eastern european the race card is used to scare the employer in submission.

Tell you gf to move on or withdraw her resignation as in law there is no a lot she could do.

There's a real life story about a guy who murdered another man because his girlfriend claimed that man raped her. Later on she admitted it was a lie to get his attention, but he's now in prison for taking her word for it too much.

You wasn't there at the time. You don't know both sides of the story. Resigning is simply stupid. Even if she tried to sue the company, the judge will question why didn't she raise a grievance instead of just leaving...
