My girlfriend who is Eastern European started working at an office of a company, placing international students, in central London a couple of weeks back. A member of staff on another team, who is a relative, of the general manager, shouts and screams all the time and bullies her staff. She is herself not white and likely not British Born.

    .

And how would you know that? And what has likely not British born got to do with anything?!?!

You come across as ignorant to assume that people not White are not British born...If I'm wrong please correct me.

My gf is from an EU country the woman in question is from a 'developing world' country outside of the EU.

It is an 'immigrant' being racist
about every other immigrant apart from her own.

Hmmm so let me get this right, you think that the"Immigrant" (Your words not mine) and her relative (The general manager) whom it seems must also be an "Immigrant", be made accountable for apparently doing the same as what you're doing?

Are you going to quote the, "University of Life", next?
    No
Just stating that smallish private companies will bend over backwards to accommodate the people that bring in the money. It's quite often a matter of survival.

It is a stated fact that the person was born in another country from her mouth. Of course if you go down the pedantic route then she could be lying and so could my gf and actually so can everyone.

What country was her mouth born in?

    Sorry, couldn't resist it.

This is not an excuse for stopping someone from voicing their prejudice views loudly in the office. It shows weak management and also acceptance of racism within society. It is extremely short sighted moving forward if you plan to get new/different staff.

If someone is allowed to express these views in front of everyone it says a lot about the people all round.

And so's your girlfriend. Yet you find it acceptable to call someone you have never met an Immigrant.

In conversation she said I am from x country. It does not matter which one does it?

Yes of course - immigrant is acceptable terminology to accurately describe a fact. Someone who was born in another country and now resides in another.
