I got about £150 last year from them in Amazon vouchers, so it's worth it but it's a slog. You need to get in a good routine.0 -
I'm back
(and not hungover, but thanks for the concern!)
We had a fine old time and the hotel we were staying in was lovely too.
I didn't end up spending a lot of money - I took out £50 yesterday and came back with £43 :j I've put £3 into my terramundi and will put £20 back into my bank account tomorrow.
The accounts currently sit like this:
Credit card: £86.62 (I paid off another £6 today)
Food account: £178.36
Cash: £20
Current account: £300 (once I pay in my £20)
All of the finance stuff is looking healthy :money:
I managed to list 17 items for sale on Ebay before we went away yesterday. Here's how they're doing:
Bids: 3 (Totalling £12.38)
Watchers: 13/17 items
I've also managed to get up to my 250 points via Adpoints for the week, so I'm going to aim to do that every week until Christmas and use the money to get something discounted from my shopping. Thankfully Christmas shouldn't cost too much (food-wise) as it's just the two of us and I've been saving Saver Stamps with Morrisons all year so currently have £50 saved up. Some of that I'll use to get Papa Mooo a nice bottle of whisky0 -

My Ebay items are up to £34.33
It's a bloomin' con how they take a final value fee from your sodding postage too now though
77 Nectar points from Adpoints earned today. I was aiming for 100 but I lost the will to keep going!
My Tesco vouchers came in the post earlier. I've earned £17 in vouchers, which takes the total I have to £24.50. I'm trying to decide if I want vouchers or to just double them up for Christmas presents. I'm going to have a wee look online and see. Some of the vouchers came courtesy of Topcashback - you can take Clubcard points rather than cash. That might be something I do with my next payout as I have £26 waiting to become payable which would work out as over £100 in Clubcard tokens if I exchanged them at 4x value.
Not a lot else to report really. My weekly spend challenge is going to be very challenging as I got £4 in £2 coins in my change today, so they have to go in the terramundi - can't spend a £2 coin :rotfl:0 -
Echoing Beanie-Lou, you're doing really well :T
Adpoints makes my eyelids start dropping pretty quick :rotfl: I managed 134 points today before there was nothing left to watch with points attached though
Am I missing out not using Mr T's? I don't have a card and can't remember the last time I used a store, nearest one is a few miles away.
Shall watch your weekly challenge progress with interest...I'm not quite ready to be saving £2 coins and might need some coaxing. I have put a £1 in the CC envelope today and that felt painful enough :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -

I buy most of my electricals from the big superstore near me so get points on them. I also got a bonus 500 points when I bought something recently. My credit card is a Tesco one and I do most of my non-food spending on it and then pay it off monthly. That has racked up 600 points in this point-gathering period which is £24 of, for example, pizza vouchers.
I try and buy any reasonably big items on the card too - my monthly bus pass goes on there. Every little helps as they say0 -
I've just bought the new Tesco hula or whatever it is using the Tesco points & the double up thingy.
That's the end of them as I am now an Aldi girl!!!I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Phew! I'm an Aldi convert as well - cheap, quick, cash and job done.
I can see the benefit of Mr T's CC - I'm similar with my SB CC, though sounds like the points scheme is better.Back on the DFW Wagon:

This is jambalaya and the recipe I use. It's relatively low-fat, which is good for my Weight Watchers (not that I'm sticking to it this week
) I often make it without the veg because there's nothing in the house and rather than using chicken breasts I normally use whatever is leftover from a roast chicken.
Budgeteering information to follow shortly...
Thank you for the jambalaya link - have made it tonight with great success, chucked in some chicken & a salami type sausage I bought reduced in aldi, veg & homemade Cajun seasoning - super yum
Good to know it's a weight watchers success, too - I am not really following it at the moment, have maintained more or less for nearly 2 years now, but every now and then I find my jeans straining at the waist and track again for a few weeks...Mortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A
