Good to know it's a weight watchers success, too - I am not really following it at the moment, have maintained more or less for nearly 2 years now, but every now and then I find my jeans straining at the waist and track again for a few weeks...

Mmmm that would probably be the case here too, which is why our waistlines are increasing!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
I suspect the weekly spend challenge is knackered for this week
Started today with: £12.60
Hot water at work: £1.20
Birthday card: £1
Popcorn x2: £1.40
BUT! In the change I got a £2 coin, so that's had to go in the jar, leaving me with £7. Oops.
I was still within budget at this point but then I went to Sainsbury's and was dazzled by their 25% off clothing sale. Again, oops.
I bought Mr Mooo a jumper which had been £10, but was half price in the sale AND had 25% off, so it cost £3.75 :money: I then bought some new undies for me which were £6 but cost £4.50 with the discount. I'm now sitting at -£1.25.
In addition to my clothes I also got a scarf for my uncle's Christmas (£6 after discount) and some candles for my mum (£1.20 each instead of £4). She loves candles but Papa Mooo thinks they're a waste of money so I buy them for her when I canThey'll form part of her Christmas parcel.
All of this canny shopping, along with the catfood I went to buy in the first place, took me over the £20 spend threshold so I got an additional 400 points and someone had left their brand match coupon by the till so I saved another 28p :rotfl: :money:
I'm off to do some Adpoints now until it's time to fall asleep - can't imagine it'll take long...0 -
Accounts update
Credit card: £66.62
Current account: £240
Savings: £830
Food account: £163.90
Christmas: £344.450 -
Oh wow Moomin, your CC is reducing very quickly indeed. :T
You and me both in SB :rotfl: - I picked up a long sleeved t-shirt for DS with 25% off (£4.50) and came close to getting a little jacket (£30 full price)...but stopped myself. Quite chuffed as I could think of several things to wear it with and had an extra points voucher for TUI clothing.
I didn't spot the candles  Possibly a good job with our rate of burning them :rotfl:
Do you create a hamper with a basket or a gift bag? I'm still working out a thrifty way to put together some individual bits into a parcel for a present.Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -

I think so, one of my boys wasn't here for tea last night so I have some left. Going to portion it into two servings & freeze in plastic tubs - I wondered the same thing and found this...

The fruit & veg display boxes in shops like asda or sainsburys can be great for hampers - all different sizes depending on your gift, if you ask they will just give them to you, you can then cover with nice cheap wrapping paper & fill as required. I usually put cellophane wrap over the top of mine for the wow factor but that's not necessary if you haven't got any. Good place for that is country baskets, they have a website if no shops near youMortgage free as of 11/11/15 !

Free listing on Ebay today so I'm going to get some stuff listed tonight so it ends at a decent time on Sunday. My current bids are up to £38.39
I bought the Body Shop deal with Groupon this morning, so have a £30 voucher to spend for some additional Christmas bits that only cost me £15 :j
I'm pretty sure I'm coming down with a cold - I'm really sniffy this morningI'm meant to be doing my induction at the gym tonight, so I'll need to see how I'm feeling. I'm going to take some Sudafed and see how I feel.
