32 items on Ebay this morning. 13 will sell for a total of (at the moment) £63.97 :j Of the remaining 19 items, 12 have watchers :D 17 items are ending tonight, so tomorrow will involve a lot of wrapping and posting - I'm so grateful that my Post Office is open 7 days a week as it's inside a big supermarket ♥

I had a couple of small spends yesterday - Sainsbugs are doing the KTC tinned tomatoes at four tins for £1 so I bought £2 worth and will be going back for more this weekend. I use a LOT of tomatoes! I was going to buy bread there too but didn't want to pay £1.45 for a loaf of Warburtons, so walked over to Aldi and paid £3.59 for bread, milk, mushrooms, kidney beans (2 tins) and peppers. I love Aldi :)

I've got a shopping list written for today and need to wander back to Aldi for some bits and pieces and do a main shop. We don't really *need* much though so I should spend under £40. That's the plan anyway!

The weekly spend challenge went to hell in a handcart yesterday when I bought theatre tickets :o I bought the ATG theatre card too which is £35 but got me 50% off tickets to the opening night at Priscilla :D So I spent £35 on that but each of us attending saved £19.75 on the cost of our (excellent) seats. I love going to the theatre so hopefully this will encourage me to go more often - it's valid across the UK too. It's moneysaving, honest...

I'm meeting beanielou and rising from the ashes for coffee later which I'm very excited about too :j

    Money stuff

    Credit card: £59.59
    Savings: £830
Purse: £30 I'm allowing myself £20 this week for Weekly Spends, so there's an emergency tenner in there!
Christmas: £294.96 (two more presents picked up this weekend)
    Food account: £121.20
Current account: £115 (Although I'm thinking of it as £100 as I have my £15 aside for cake with my friend!)

I made £72.76 from Ebay yesterday. After spending £10 on something I was waiting for "free" money to buy, paying nearly a tenner of Ebay fees (BAH) and the money PayPal takes, I have £55.74 in my PayPal account, with postage still to account for. I am still waiting for two people to pay though.

My major whoops this weekend was buying a VERY expensive dress for work. It's lovely, but further reflection has made me realise I won't get the wear out of it that I thought I would, so it's going back to the shop :o I won't be confessing to how much it cost, as it's going back :D

My night out on Saturday was lovely, I did spend all my money but had such a nice time I don't really mind. I wasn't feeling too clever yesterday morning so had a relaxing day in my pyjamas. I did parcel up most of my Ebay items, so just need to post them after work today. I'm not going to be the most popular person at the post office :rotfl:

Good Lord, it's expensive to post things  £17.39 to post eight items (!) Given that Ebay now take 10% of your postage charge off you, and you lose money when PayPal charge you...

Anyway, that leaves me with £38.35 in my PayPal account, and I have some items selling this weekend at a current total of £28.44.

I bought myself a lovely big body butter and the MIL her Christmas gift set from the Body Shop today using the £30 credit I had from Groupon. I also got the Brother Mooo's birthday present - a nice t-shirt from Asda to add to some other bits I've already bought. We've decided to get the MooParents tickets to the Edinburgh Tattoo as their present, which we're going to split, so I've set a reminder to try and get them when they go on sale next month.

    It's all coming together!

What a cold and frosty morning here at Mooomin Towers :snow_grin I've had the heating on for a wee while this morning and as I'm working at home today I can see myself turning it on again before the end of the day. I'm going to have to keep myself warm with tea and possibly a hot water bottle before long :rotfl:

The benefit of working at home is that it should be a NSD for me today and I can always keep warm by making tea and doing wee bits of housework! I'm going to be making a big pot of bolognaise later to keep to my meal plan and I need to get some split peas soaking to make pea and ham soup tomorrow morning.

I've treated myself to a couple of wee craft items this morning using the money in my PayPal account, so they were free!
  • And you can be working while wearing pjs and dressing gown & no-one knows......that would keep you cosy!

Spendy day yesterday with buying lunch (won't need to do that today as I have soup) and my usual raft of hot water at work! I went to get coffee for the ladies at the office and one of them paid me with a £2 coin, so I had to spend my money and put that coin in the terramundi :rotfl: I have £6.10 left from my £20 budget this week.

Today we're having roast chicken (well, done in the slow cooker) and tomorrow it's jambalaya. We need bread but I don't want to go to the shops, so if I can convince Mr F to go then I'll save £1.50 :rotfl:

My accounts still look good though:

    Current account: £100
    Credit card: £59.59
    Food account: £101.39
    Christmas: £268.04

We have £330 in the car account and the MOT is getting done shortly. I know the car will need servicing anyway, so we might end up spending all of that

Still, even with that in mind, there are 11 days till payday and it's all looking pretty good :D

I'm in the process of moving my bills account from my previous bank (useless) to First Direct (hopefully less useless, and offering £100 anyway for switching!)

I got a letter from Old Bank yesterday saying they couldn't complete the switch and I should phone FD. I did that and it turned out that there's a problem with OB's system which means that they don't recognise that I don't have a card on that account and refused the switch request because FD didn't give them the card number.

I called OB today, told them what happened and that I wasn't happy that I was being penalised for their systems issues (won't be fixed until the 18th and then I won't be able to switch for a couple of weeks once all my DDs are out) and they offered me compensation :D I'm now waiting on a £35 cheque coming out to make up for the inconvenience :j It's always worth calling and complaining folks ;)
