Money update
Current account: £20 (with £35 cheque to add)
Credit card: £45.59
Food account: £56.56
Purse: £50 (although my weekly spend allowance is £20 so I'll pay the other £30 in to the bank today)
My other credit card has confused me, so I may as well try and figure it out here.
Balance: £442.25
Available to pay: £201.03
Outstanding balance: £241.22
Dress to return: £179 (I know, I know, it was a moment of weakness, hence why it's going back)
Mr Mooo owes me £28 for gig tickets and £16 for his sister's birthday present, so that's another £44
That leaves me £19ish outstanding and my friend owes me that for a ticket to the theatre. PHEW. I was getting worried when I saw the balance this morning
Anyway, payday is on Monday, so everything is looking healthy at the moment :j I've got another five parcels for Ebay posting later and have taken the final item which hasn't been paid for with me to work as it's sods law that they will pay if I don't have it with me. I've opened a non-paying bidder case against them as it's been three days since the auction ended
Not a lot else to report really. Adpoints are building slowly, but it's a total slog. I've got a voucher for £4.50 off at Sainsburys when I spend £30 though so I'll use some Nectar points to reduce the bill further too :money: Annoyingly, I need to use the voucher the day before payday, but I'm going to have a comprehensive list and watch out for bargains to help me stock the cupboards for next month. I've got another voucher for extra points when I spend £10 on pet products, so that'll stock the cat cupboard till the end of the year0 -
I'm up to 62 Adpoints, but it's slow going on the iPad :rotfl: I'm currently tucked up in a blanket watching telly and running through Adpoints at the same time.
I spent another £14 at the Post Office today posting EBay parcels. I need to post another couple of bits tomorrow too, but the money to cover that has come from PayPal. I also used my PayPal funds to treat myself to the new Jamie Oliver book as the Book People had it for a fiver. I had to pay postage, but it was still cheaper than anywhere else, and I got 42p cashback
I have failed on my challenge to buy no food before the end of the week as i checked the reduced items in the supermarket when I was in posting my parcels. I got a kilo of carrots and three bags of leeks for 40p so I couldn't resist. I'm going to chop and freeze them all and use them for soups and stews.
I have £60 left in my PayPal account and one of my eBay items has a bidder, so that's going well too.
I'm pretty tired tonight so I'm going to get some veg chopped, get my stuff ready for tomorrow and get an early night.0 -
Money update
Current account: £50
Savings: £865 (Paid the cheque in there)
Credit card: £45.59
Food account: £56.16, although I'm going to need to buy some stuff today
Purse: £4.10
Christmas account: £154.94
Car account: £280 - the car passed his MOT :j We still have to buy new wiper blades, and he has a minor coolant leak that needs looking at, but HE PASSED
I get paid on Monday, so all the accounts are looking pretty healthy. I'm going to top up my savings to £900 if possible and then any other "spare" money is getting put in to the Christmas account.
I've stalled on a lot of my things to do, but work has been busy and I've been really tired. Hopefully I'll get some bits and pieces done as I'm off work tomorrow :j
On a side note, does anyone know of a supermarket where Terry's Chocolate Oranges are cheap? Mr Mooo's dad loves them and I want to add some to his Christmas parcel.0 -

Working at home today and it's FREEZING. I'm trying to take a leaf out of Ali-OK's book and have tealights for heating, but I'm not sure how much good it's doing me :snow_grin I'm off to find another pair of socks and my dressing gown! I had the heating on this morning for 40 minutes to take the chill off and I'm determined not to put it back on before 6pm. I'm doing home-made soup for lunch so that will help hopefully.0 -

My trouble is that although I'm not entirely cold, my hands feel the cold really badly and I end up freezing. I'm going to root around and see if I can find some gloves and see if they allow me to type!
Currently wearing two pairs of knee socks, big fluffy slippers, long sleeved top and a big jumper. Dressing gown soon0 -
I once had very very fine riggers thermal gloves , they were just fab.
For me it is my feet & calves.Bah is all.
