I noticed that last night (when shopping for Halloween treat-sized chocs for myself, ssshhhh
)
I said 0 bags @ 5p which was right, but it didn't give me the option to add Clubcard points for bag reuse. I was very annoyed. I'll need to check with Tesco if they've stopped the bag reuse points.0 -

I'm pretty sure I got an email saying they were stopping giving CC points for reusing bags (I'm sure sainsbobs are also doing the same)
I'm sure there was also a bit (can't remember if it was sainsbobs or Mr T) that said they'd add x no of bags @ 5p if you got a home delivery (I think there was a tick option to uncheck)
Delivery people are going to be thrilled with people picking their shopping out the crates individually (it was bad enough trying to get it in when it was bagged - esp if you had lots of bottled water etc)

Why do I not get Green Clubcard points anymore?
From 8th April 2013, all retailers in Northern Ireland will be required by law to charge a minimum of 5p per bag when customers use a new single use carrier bag. From 1st October 2013, all retailers in Wales will be required by law to charge a minimum of 5p per bag when customers use a new single use carrier bag. From 20th October 2014, all retailers in Scotland will be required by law to charge a minimum of 5p per bag when customers use a new single use carrier bag. Green Clubcard points have been removed with the introduction of the Government Levy in Northern Ireland, Wales & Scotland.

Why am I being charged for bags?
We are required by law to charge for single use carrier bags issued to customers with a delivery or collection postcode within Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland. There is a charge of 35p per order, which is worked out based on the average number of bags needed to pack an order. You'll see the charge itemised on your delivery receipt as 'Bag charge'. In Northern Ireland, all proceeds must be paid to the Department of Environment Northern Ireland (DOENI). In Wales, all proceeds will be paid to Keep Wales Tidy. In Scotland, all proceeds will be paid to Keep Scotland Beautiful.
How can I avoid being charged?
You can avoid being charged by choosing the bagless option. To select a bagless delivery or collection please go to https://www.tesco.com/groceries/delivery and amend your packing instructions as you go through the checkout. Where necessary pre-packed raw poultry will still be placed into a small bag before being placed in the green tray. You won't be charged for these bags.
I was told in Mr A that they would be charging 5p for the bags for fruit & veg etc BUT these are exempt (bags for hygiene reasons) so do challenge that if anyone tries to charge you for these.

Morning all
It's payday tomorrow (Yay!) and the budget isn't looking too bad. As I'm now trying to budget month to month, with the new budget starting on the 1st, here's what I have left to last until then:
Spending money: £53.72
Food: £19.24
Fuel: £35
All looking pretty healthy so far thenI'll go and do my big monthly shop on Saturday, which is the 1st, and I am definitely aiming to spend less than £19 before the weekend. Famous last words I suspect!
My holiday fund is up to £144.10 and my Nectar points are up to 11,214 / £56.07. I'm thinking about spending some points during the next double up event as I want some bits for my kitchen.
Payday won't make a huge difference tomorrow, but it's always nice to get my budgets balanced!
Hope everyone is well and hasn't been blown away by the wind0 -
Payday :j
The budget has been allocated and next month is looking squeaky but do-able.
I've just checked my TCB account and my cashback for Fat Club is payable, so I've got £15.13 on the way to my bank account, which is a nice wee bonus. I'll add a tenner to my spends for the month and the rest will go in my holiday fund.
For some reason it was in my head that you could only do an APG if you had spent over £20, but I realised that wasn't the case so checked my last shop and now have an APG for £1.67 to use later :money: I'll need to be more vigilant looking for wombled receipts now :rotfl:0 -
Morning all
Sneaky wee bargain last night - I went to return a jumper to Sainsbugs and swap it for another size and they now have 25% off all their clothes. With that and the £4.20 giftcard I had sitting around, I got my £18 jumper for £9.80 :j It's helping keep me warm in the office too as it's COLD here today.
I did a couple of Adpoints videos this morning, and got my points added from last night, so the Nectar balance is up to 11,294 / £56.47.0 -
A list of MSE things for the weekend:
- Buy fuel and remember to use double Nectar points voucher
- Go to Morrisons and use extra points voucher for their new scheme
- Buy some bits from Asda for Christmas using APG vouchers
- MEAL PLAN
- Return jumper to Dorothy Perkins and get a different size
- Make soup for lunches next week
- Check Christmas list and plan who I still have to buy with (Clue: begins with Mr and end with Mooo
)

Morning all
Meal plan follows:
Today: Chicken and chorizo gratin
Monday: Chilli
Tuesday: Bolognese
Wednesday: Out for dinner (Carvery, much cheapness!)
Thursday: Jambalaya
Friday: Chilli
Saturday: Roast chicken
This morning I'll go and put petrol in the car, return my jumper to Dotty P's and then go to Aldi for the last bits I need for my shopping list this week. I made a massive batch of chilli yesterday so I'll portion that up and then get my soup made this afternoon.
I'm back at Fat Club today having fallen firmly off the wagon, so meal planning is going to be both MSE and helpful to the weighloss hopefully!!0
