First Monday off and it's been a lazy one :o

I have earned 140 Nectar points in surveys though and I'm working my way through my Adpoints videos. My Nectar points from last week have been added and I'm up to £9.99 which is excellent news :D

Well done on all the points, nice little earner for a lazy day ;)

Just done my adpoints too - got so engrossed in the paper lid on the turkey cooking one, that I missed the prompt and had to start again :rotfl:

    Payday is on Friday :D

    Current account: £50
    Food account: £40.77
    Savings account: £1410.11

I've got just under £20 left to spend from the weekly spend challenge, so I'll take out £10 this morning and that'll be my limit. I've checked my credit card and I have enough set aside to pay it off when the statement is due - I'm going to be booking my flights for my holiday today too hopefully :D:D

I'm planning to withdraw £40 in change on Friday to cover my bus fares for the month and then £5 to cover milk/teabags for work for the month as well.

I've watched all my available ads this morning and I'm up to 56 points on Adpoints.

I've got my lunch ready to take to work, but I've had the worst night's sleep in a long time, so I might end up spending money on strong coffee to keep myself awake if tea doesn't cut it :o

    Have a good day all!

I've made a test overpayment to the mortgage this morning. Only £25 (from the complaint I made about the home emergency cover!) but it's a start. I can see my mortgage balance online, so if it's not reduced by the £25 I will check with them at the end of the week.

My Tesco points balance is 1521 at the moment and I can collect points until the 25th for next month's statement, so I'm doing pretty well. I'll collect about 400 points when I book my flights and get around £5 from Topcashback too ;)

The Boots 75% sale starts tomorrow, I'm trying to decide if I want to go or not. I can get a bus to work that stops outside Boots in time for them opening at 8.30, and should still get me to work for nine! I need to check the presents stash and see who I might need to buy for.

Congrats on your grocery spend total, that is a great saving. :T

Oh you had to go and make me envious with the online mortgage thingy! My provider seems to use a carrier pigeon that stops every few miles and took 11 days to deliver a letter :rotfl:

How exciting to be close to booking your flight tickets too :j:j

As Ali mentioned, I declared on the grocery challenge earlier, as I get paid on Friday and have done all the shopping I'll need to. I have Asda cards in case of emergencies anyway :D

I managed to come in under budget - £184.23/£225!!!!

I'm really chuffed with this and I'll be reducing the budget to £200 for the coming month.

I've updated my signature for another NSD and another day's exercise. I was going to get the bus home from work but walked instead - 2 miles under my belt and £1.50 bus fare in my sealed pot. I want to do the Race For Life (assuming I can walk it and not run!) in June in memory of a friend who died last week, so I want to get walking more to get training for it. Edinburgh is a lovely city to walk around anyway ;)

Sorry to hear your sad news, but great that you're planning R4L in memory of them.

Good work on the walking, is this with or without squeaky trainers? :rotfl:

  • Well done on the groceries and exercise, but I'm very sorry to hear about your friend. :( x

My £25 overpayment is showing on my mortgage account, so I have also transferred the £40.77 left in my food account to the mortgage. I like the idea of paying the spare grocery money to the mortgage each month and doing that today means I've paid off £65.77 this week :D

I'm working at home today but am heading out shortly for a mooch at the Boots 75% off sale. I don't need to get much, but a present for an auntie or two will stand me in good stead, so I'm going to see if I can quickly pick something up. I have £20 in points on my card anyway so I might even keep my NSD ;)

Other things in plan are to check tariffs for SIM only deals for Mr Mooo - he doesn't really use his phone a lot and it's on a £21 a month contract at the moment. I had a quick check yesterday and it looks like I could reduce that to £13 per month without a lot of effort.
