Diary of a spendy cow

Common sense has interceded - I have a pile of work to do today so no Boots for me. If I've done enough by lunchtime I can spend my lunchhour there, but there's nothing I need so I'm staying in and getting started on work 45 minutes early.
I've also put my power readings in to the Npower website. I appear to be using less electrickery but more gas - not a surprise as we actually have working heating nowIt got replaced about 15 months ago but I'm finally comfortable actually using it now instead of shivering. Mr Mooo is too comfortable using it though, I need to train him further :rotfl:

I have done (walked) the Race for Life in Edinburgh twice now. There are lots of people who walk it. I can't run the length of myself so that was not an option for me. I didn't do any training and seriously, I am not the fittest. Took me an hour (57 mins) both times. It makes you feel good though, not just raising the money for the charity but also taking the walk, breathing in the "fresh air" and getting the body moving. Everyone is buzzing too, it's great!Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Another NSD in the bag which takes me up to 8!
I managed to get to Boots at lunchtime, and got a pair of slippers for the Christmas drawer and a gift set for my auntie for next Christmas too. I paid with points and still have about thirteen pounds worth left
I attempted a turkey pasta bake for dinner tonight but I didn't like it At All  Normally I would have it for lunch tomorrow but it was so awful I think it's going to end up in the binOn the bright side, I have a massive gammon ready to go in the slow cooker tomorrow morning

What did you get???
Ooh, lots and lots and jelly tots! Actually, it wasn't that bad: large Champney's set, large No7 shower set, some smaller Champneys set and the hand soaps, bits of children for presents as well and hairdryer for my goddaughter's Christmas present. I'm well jell about the slippers, though, as I really need a hard-soled pair and they didn't have any in my size!
I won't be needing any more shopping for a while, it's fair to say...;)Debt: £11,640.02 paid in full! DFD: 30/06/20

Savings: £1253.91 (Added a little this morning)
Balance this morning is £1450.11, having added the £40 left in my current account, so I've added nearly £200 this month despite is being Christmas and having to pay out £81 for my passport.
Next month I'll need to pay out around £200 for roof repairs which isn't great but will save me money in the long run, so that's going to hit my savings account. I get paid tomorrow and will find out how badly reducing my hours has affected my income
My Adpoints are still sitting at 62 this morning but I did a Canvass survey for 60 points which was quicker to complete than they said so that's a plusMy balance is showing as 2138/£10.69. I've earned 1569 since Christmas day so if I can do at least 1000 a month that'll be a big boost for Christmas. I won't manage as much every month as I have this month as that includes the 750 points for an eBook purchase.
All accounts apart from savings are empty and I have £10 in my purse, although I'm aiming to keep that in one piece and put it in my Sealed Pot when I finish work today. We do need milk, but I'm going to make Mr Mooo get it
Friday tomorrow, hurrah!0 -

Har har, sarky! :rotfl: I meant 'bits for children for presents...'
Honestly, you'd think I was the Child Catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang or something! (I stopped snaching them years ago...no more room to store them at mine.*)
*Added winky smiley not cos you are thick but just in case those humourless idiots who read the internet then report people to the police think I am actually a child snatcher. The fact that I've felt the need to add this tells us more about the current state of society than it should.Debt: £11,640.02 paid in full! DFD: 30/06/20
