The holiday will be amazing and to see your DB too. Hopefully you'll get some good low cost insurance options with the comparison sites if you're binning the paid for current account - or hang on to the current account for another couple of months until after your hols?
That challenge sounds like the Boot Camp of all Challenges! Very best of luck and look forward to seeing your progress. I need to set myself a 'Stay out of Town' challenge!
Hope your walking isn't in the wind and rain we've got here! It's dire again.Back on the DFW Wagon:

The weather yesterday wasn't too bad - windy but dry. Today it's pretty poor so I suspect I won't get outside for a walk today. I keep my pedometer on all the time though and I'm going to count any day where I earn 2 activity points (it's a WW pedometer and once you've done your minimum daily steps you earn points) as an exercise day as that's not always easy. My office is huge, so it's perfectly possible to do my minimum just around here
The challenge is insane to be honest. I've already signed up for 10 NSDs this month, so I'm going to aim for that as the minimum. I am including all spends including food for NSDs as normally I don't because it's budgeted, but I still end up mooching round the shops and picking up "bargains" that I don't really need. Both freezers are pretty full now, so I can ease off. I did manage to pick up three WW loaves last night though for 28p each instead of 97p, so I had to put them in my basketSee, I have a problem!!

Sorry about that folks
TBH when I started reading of the greedy sods who'd been ordering up to 30 lots, I had a strong inkling we wouldn't see it - as usual a minority ruin it for the majority :mad:Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

1. SFD 1/20 It's a miracle!! :j
2. Food budget £13.72/£200
3. Brand downshift 0/5
4. Lunch to work 2/11 (projected days in the office this month)
5. Arranged outings 0/4
6. Exercise 2/15
7. Petrol budget 0/£50
8. Food bank donation 0
9. Beauty spends 0/£10
I managed to get my exercise done by walking round the local shopping centre after work :rotfl: I picked up a book for a Christmas present (used a giftcard, so cost me nothing)
I used my Boots points to pick up a coin purse for my bus fares. If I'm serious about not spending, I'm just going to take this with me to work. I also have £2.30 of leftover tea money in a teeny coin purse and am going to attempt to only use this to buy hot water for tea at work for the rest of the month  I experimented with the hot water machine at work today and the tea it makes is just about hot enough, so I'm going to set myself a challenge for Wednesday (the next day I'm in my normal office) to only use that all day. Yikes!
The Family Mooomin are visiting this weekend, so it's going to be hard not to spend, and I'm meeting a friend for lunch tomorrow tooShe's due to be treating me though in exchange for my old toastie maker
Whichever day I fall off the spend wagon is the day I'll be rushing to the supermarket to get my food shopping

Morning folks
Not a lot to report this morning - no movement on the accounts to speak of.
I'm up to 68 adpoints for the week and the 750 from buying the ebook with Sainsbury's Entertainment have already credited - my balance is showing online as £7.83/1566 points. I've got £16.95 in Boots points too.
Today I'm going to withdraw £60 from my current account and that's going to be my spending money for the next 7 days, including all food. I'm going to be spending a lot of time in the shops this weekend as Mama and Papa Mooo are in town - I don't *need* anything, but it doesn't mean I won't end up buyingIf I do, I'll need to make sure that I buy the food shopping on the same day
One thing I will be looking for is a new pair of trainers - mine have developed an irritating squeak. I have my £50 Christmas money in reserve, so at least it won't come from "my" money.
Have a lovely weekend everyone - stay safe if the weather is rotten.0 -
There's 100 nectar points too for signing up to Oxfam's Tag a Bag and all donations given and sold on get another point per pound.
The eBook one is a lovely bonus - yet to start reading mine.
You've just reminded me to pick up a Boots card form from the Retail Park, as I don't have one and they didn't have any left in the town shop last week. Have kept the receipt from the sales gifts purchases so I can get the points credited and should get a £3 off No.7 make up voucher in the latest order too.
Have a lovely weekend and ashame about the squeak!Back on the DFW Wagon:
