Morning!
Hope this is the day the roof gets sorted...
My first early morning in over a week, I'm off to Aldi shortly to get a few bits for our homemade curry NYE meal. Good lunch with the fish fingers, I've never made them but it must be a similar process to chicken goujons so you will be fine
Back on Weight Watchers as of this Friday - it's horrifyingly amazing how much damage I can do in 2 weeks! My present to myself was to have what I like between work/school finishing and the end of the year... And what I like is wine, chocolate and lots of it. Oh dear!
Happy New Year's Eve, everyone!Mortgage free as of 11/11/15 !

I weighed myself on Christmas Day and was horrified that I was 1st 3lbs over my goal weight
I've been back on WW since Saturday, hence all the cooking from scratchI suspect my food bill will go up - especially if Mr Mooo keeps eating the leftovers while I'm in bed - but it's worth it if I can get back on track

- Go to Asda for reductions and also get a passport form (The post office is in the supermarket)
- Buy a hot water bottle as mine has gone pop and it's cold

Man has been, roof is watertight for now. He's coming back to do a permanent repair and to fix other slates which have come off.
Now, to call the insurance company and sort them out too  Has anyone had to claim for water damage before?
Other thing I've done today is to get my scanner set up for the Neilsen scanning thingie. It's one of these "scan your shopping and get gifts" jobs. I've also racked up 22 Adpoints, so that's ticking along too0 -

Yes *sigh*
I had tiles come off in really bad storms not long after I came here
It was a public holiday so you can imagine the hassle I had to find someone who would even come out - let alone the cost
All fixed fine (temp repair & them perm done later) and repair / redecoration of ceiling & walls (water damage) was fine:) & I must say the insurance co were really good & that part was hassle free
BUT when it came to the carpet (also water damaged) - that's apparently classed as being contents so even though it resulted from building damage - I would've had to put a claim for that under my contents insurance & pay another excess
Really don't understand that one ....Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

This part is what I was wondering about...the living room ceiling and walls have a bit of water damage, but if we repaper that corner we'll need to redecorate the whole room - do you think that'll be covered?0 -

For mine, they had to cut out & fix ceiling with mdf (?) and then the whole room had to be replastered which obviously meant full redecoration
If it's not feasible to repaper just that area (which depending on the paper might / might not be) then I'd say they would have to cover it surely?Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

for me, it's totally a mental thing. if i am feeling good, doing WW is no prob. i've just been greedy recently - to be fair, i'm still around my goal weight but to stay there i must be careful with my naughty indulgences, because as soon as i stop tracking everything goes to pot.
you sound like you are ready to take on all the challenges you want to in 2014 - the only way is down (weight-wise and debt wise!) and the only way is up for everything else... :TMortgage free as of 11/11/15 !

- [STRIKE]Tidy up a little bit before the roof man arrives - all the stuff I need to declutter from the kitchen is in the living room where the damage is[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Return dress to Sainsbury's[/STRIKE]
- Return iPad cover to Tesco
- [STRIKE]Mooch around both supermarkets for reductions[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Go to Asda for reductions[/STRIKE] and also get a passport form (The post office is in the supermarket)
- Buy a hot water bottle as mine has gone pop and it's cold
- Wash and dry all glassware in the mugs cupboard, wash this down and put all stuff back
- [STRIKE]Attempt home-made fishfingers for the first time[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Any Adpoints/Canvass surveys that come my way[/STRIKE]
I went to Sainsbury's and returned my dress then went to Asda which was so busy it was horrible! I completely forgot about the passport form, but managed to get a few bargains in the reduced section. I didn't buy a hot water bottle, so I'll just need to wear extra thick jammies
A rocking NYE here has consisted of eating my home-made fish fingers (yummy but a bit of a faff to make) and making a sealed pot from an old hot chocolate tub. Happy 2014 when it comes0 - [STRIKE]Tidy up a little bit before the roof man arrives - all the stuff I need to declutter from the kitchen is in the living room where the damage is[/STRIKE]
