I keep stumbling across returning MSE'ers!
Sounds like all going well with you - and I know exactly what you mean about posting here giving you accountability to yourself too - I'm leaning towards the idea that I might need to do the same.

I couldn't agree more. I need caffeine by intravenous drip but the tea at work using those things tastes so bad I stick to water. It does make that first cuppa in the evening extra good so I guess there are some bonuses!!I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.I work to live, not live to work.I love to live & live to love.Good enough is exactly that.0 -
1. SFD 2/20 It's a miracle!! :j

5. Arranged outings 1/4

7. Petrol budget 0/£50

I finally got my passport sorted out yesterday, so that was £81.25 but I didn't count it as a spend as it's been budgeted for for months. My savings account is now down at £1280.36 so the next milestone is to get it back over £1300
A couple of additional MSE points yesterday - Papa Mooo gave me a Book Token that he won't use which is worth a whopping £30 :j I'm going to keep that in my wallet and use it for birthday/Christmas gifts through the year :money:
I also managed to get a £2 coin off Mama Mooo who noticed my sad wee face when Papa Mooo tried to use it to pay for something and nabbed it off him for my jar :rotfl: She also let me use my Boots card when she bought some gifts in the sale, so that added a lovely 400 points to my balance thanks to coupons, and I now have £20.95 on there.
I don't think that today will be a SFD as we're off to a massive shopping centre and I really do need trainers. I've got my £50 Christmas money though so the plan is to buy them for under £50. I also need to get some food shopping done as if I don't do it today I won't be able to until Tuesday and won't have food in for lunches. I'll update when I get home tonight0 -
Happy shopping! Your parents sound lovelyMortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A

Have you got an outlet shopping centre within reach Mooo? I know there used to be one of the Freeport chain not that far from you. I only ask because I've bought my last few pairs from there and have always managed to buy a far "better" pair for my available budget than I would have done in a regular shop, if you know what I mean.
Well done on the SFD's too - I've only managed 1 so far.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I've updated my signature with progress today - I spent a small amount in Sainsbury's and Aldi, less than £20 in total and shouldn't need to buy anything else till at least Thursday. Final night with the Family Mooo is tomorrow and then I can get on with meal planning.
I didn't manage to find trainers in the shops so bought them online - £37.50 which isn't amazing, but still less than the £50 I got for Christmas. I've paid for them from my current account and if things get tight before payday I know I can withdraw £37.50 from my savings and not knacker my budget.0 -
