Hope you get somewhere with yours soon Rox- it's very stressful isn't it? I've been mega unproductive today as just been trying to get my head around all the info and POPLA appeals etc.0

But until I can find something concrete that I know will win an appeal I am cautious about this approach (I appreciate that this may seem ridiculous to those with intricate knowledge of the whole process, but to me, having never had a ticket before and being faced with a slightly overwhelming amount of info on the whole thing, I'm feeling a little stressed- and £95 is not money I can afford to part with, as I have a young family). The signs seem pretty clear, the CCTV images are clear and not retouched etc, they have issued the Charge Notice within the time limits... Coupon-mad mentioned discounting the possibility the charge was contracturallty agreed... If I did contracturallty agree the charge due to the signage I interpreted that to mean maybe I would not have a case to appeal, hence wondering if I should thus pay! Like I said, I'd love to appeal, I'm just unsure whether I have a strong case' Spring seem to be less cowboy-like than other firms from the threads I have read..
Http://parkingcowboys.co.UK/popla will give u solid grounds to appeal.
Pre estinate of loss and no contract are solid grounds

. How do I share them? Thanks
I am a little bit concerned about the signage wording, from what you have said. We would like to look at the pics so please post a broken link to where you have hosted them on tinypic. By 'broken link' I mean remove the http:// because you're a newbie and may not be able to post links here yet. Was there a clear sign at the entrance or was it high up and unreadable?
Not by private message please, just on the thread.Iamthestig2 wrote: »If there's a chance we will lose at POPLA am I better paying up now to avoid paying the full whack?? Can't really afford either at the moment, but it almost doubles if we lose! I have found one receipt so far/ definitely from a store that the car park is for, and time shown is during the 'overstay' period.
Should I send that to the company who manage the car park?
We do win 100% of POPLA cases at the moment. But there's always 'a chance' you could feasibly lose at POPLA - but stop posting in such a scattergun way and let's see your pics of those signs. 'Softly softly catchee monkey...'
Don't 'send' receipts to the stores or the landowner yet. GO IN AND COMPLAIN instore! Didn't you seize the moment to do so when you took the photos? You only had to go to the CS desks and complain to each Store Manager in person and this could be cancelled the same day if you are assertive enough as an angry paying customer.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

With all due respect (and I do mean that, as you clearly know your stuff and have helped lots of people on here) you may not find such things stressful, but actually I do. I wouldn't state that I felt stressed if it were untrue. This actually kept me awake last night. So please could I ask that you either be a little more understanding, or just ignore my thread? This would be appreciated.0 -

<sigh>. I have done virtually nothing but read about this for the past 24 hours! But there is a lot of legislation, conflicting information and advice on the best approaches to take, and I cannot find much about the company I am dealing with. I am unsure as to whether I *did* enter into a contract or not. I am a (currently unemployed!) teacher not a lawyer! I am trying my best to get my head around all this and really do appreciate all advice given, but please refrain from making comments like this as they don't really help me!0 -
Coupon-mad, I am not sure what 'tinypic' is but will google it now. I have photos from entrance too- there are none directly from Spring but there are signs re parking at entrance.0

Look we are trying to help, but we can't spoon feed it for you! You need to do a degree of self help as we are limited in numbers and the forum is hectic.
I gave you an example, when I login into the forum in the evening there is normally 2-3 pages of new posts and threads that I haven't read, if I go away for the weekend there is about 10 pages. If it's not on page 1 then I don't go looking.
Most of us are in the same position. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.
