  • Further to my previous post on Monday I just had a knock on the door and a man says delivery from Viking Direct. Strange I thought as I'd been told the order was cancelled due to mispricing. Signed for the box, rushed inside only to find that the box was empty apart from the packing list and an invoice. I have checked my credit card statement online but nothing has been taken. Anybody else received an invisible phone?

Who said 'you get nothing for nothing!'?
OMG Viking have totally lost the plot now, sending out empty parcels!
What was on the invoice if you don't mind me asking?
Even if I do get a delivery now I won't be happy until I've opened the box.
    Thanks CougarMan

  • Hi nettynora

The last line of the invoice say £9.28 paid in advance; Amount Due £0.00. It is a bit worrying so I'll keep an eye on my online credit card account.

Can prove the contract price in both a screenshot and the email they sent me....problem is they sent different phones! they are going to come and collect them today and they say they will refund me when they get the phones back in the depot....would rather I had got the phone call saying tough luck that the fact they have taken unauthorised money out of my account that I am having to wait to get back

Tell them they can have the phones back when they discharge their contractual obligations and provide you with the 'phones you've paid for (I assume shekels have left your bank/cc account). Of course, you might choose to agree to accept the delivered phones as substitutes.

In the meantime, tell your bank/cc company that Viking have made an unauthorised transaction.

Get back under your stone slimeball !

How the hell can ordering 7 in one order for family and friends be greedy ?

Easier to order in one lot as I have an account rather than 6 others having to open one to get the same item !

As I have an account and order lots of items I have some leverage.

Bet I have the last laugh !

Oooh, have I touched a raw nerve :D

I trust these were being "sold" on at the price paid. I also hope that the people you promised to supply them to take the same stance as you are with Viking - you could end up seriously out of pocket. People like you are the exact reason why I DONT post bargains on moneysaving.

Thanks - think I will notify the bank. £185 has left my account and OH waited all day today for them to collect them and they didn't turn up! They have said they will not refund until the phones are back so no point in trying to hang on to these ones at that price - offered to keep them as the substitutes but at the contracted price £15.16 but they say if I was to keep them it would be the £185 they have already taken

I do not appreciate being called a liar, the circumstances are exactly as I stated .

My family and friends fully understand the problem as I pre-warned them that it may be a misprice and we may not get the phones.

If you refuse to post bargains but take advantage of those posted by others it would seem my " SLIMEBALL " comment was correct .

If you look at my ratio of posts to thanks I think you will find that most members appreciate my efforts to help.

Negotiating with Viking has resulted in the return of the phones for a full credit and a Goodwill gesture of a slightly less expensive phone set for free which I have already received , so top marks to the CS Manager Kathryn .

Yep..same here, exactly the same has happened to me, although my order was for two sets of phones and the amount they took was £15.70. This morning on my online credit card statement, they have refunded me the £15.70....some very strange goings on indeed ???
