stef, can't begin to imagine the bittersweet feelings that must be churning through you at the moment ((((((hugs)))))) but so glad you have the photos back. Yes you can certainly get copies made. May i make a suggestion though? Normally I'd say take them to the cheapest option, but given the absolute preciousness of these photos, may I suggest you take them to a decent photographic shop where you can explain the value of them? I'd just hate for them to be entrusted somewhere you couldn't speak to a responsible person who will look after them properly. (It's possible that a highstreet chain like Jessops would be OK, but just thought somewhere where they do it on the premises preferable to them being sent off-site
)

I agree with Chruchmouse, when we sent my Grandad's photos to be edited and enlarged we sent them in 2 batches so all weren't away at once and scanned them first onto the PC, just incase.One day I might be more organised...........

this is what i'm thinking - I really want to stand over them while they do it if possible. Am actually thinking of asking my Dad to do it as he is very technical and did a great job of putting all our baby photos onto discs. It would mean a trip to Holland but would be well worth it. It would be great for him too as he never met his grandson
stefI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080
