    Hi everyone

The Pink, Snowy and Aussie meeting went very well - we went to The Odessey in Belfast, which is a big big leisure complex with lots of restaurants etc in. We went for Tapas, and didn't giggle too much and not a single drop of amber nectar crossed our lips (a bit too early!). Aussie is probably still on the boat on the way to Scotland - don't know where Pink has got to!? V.sad to think that Aussie will be away on the other side of the world within a week:(:cry::cry: Come back soon Aussie, you are always welcome!!

MeanMarie - lovely to see you back, and glad that you had such a good time. Time flies when you're having fun.

MrsMortenHarket - so sorry to hear about your gran.

On the way home from belfast I called into Dunelm Mills to look at their canvases. They were quite nice, but none particularly grabbed my attention. The shop was boiling hot and very busy so I legged it - might take another run up one evening as they seemed to have quite a good selection of curtains and bed linen in the sale.

It's time to do some housework of some description. What is about me? I blink and the house turns itself into a tip - got nobody to blame, I live alone!

    Bye for now.

    Snowy

    Good morning everyone,

Got up a bit earlier this morning. Just having my cuppa, then will tidy up, shower, finish throwing the odds and ends together and roar off. :D The weather is about the same today. Light drizzle so I hope the roads are ok.

Having lunch with the girls today Pink & Snowy :j and to say goodbye :( and then we catch the ferry back to Scotland. Woke up with one of my back teeth a bit niggly today. I hope it doesn't develop into a raging toothache. That's all I need this week. :p

N9eav I hope DS gets the job. Fingers crossed.
CharliesMum Enjoy the auction. They're great fun.
Chipps The barn owl sounded great. I wish we saw it. Great bargains too.

Well ((((hugs)))) to everyone else and I hope you all a lovely day. Byeeeee

    Sorry,

Have had a no computer day so not sure what is going on. Weather here foul and only I got dressed because we needed potatoes for dinner. DH still in dressing gown!

Should have been the local village Gala here but weather a wash-out.

DD phoned at teatime to say no more twinges. She went swimming this morning and the wave machine very extreme - enough to get her going!

Spoke to DS and he is about to go to the Canaries for holidays - at least a bit of warmth. We have had heating back on today on continuous!

Must look at the map Twink - where is Inverbervie to you? Mum sent a pile of beef from them as a Christmas pressie. Just about finished but did do the kebabs as a really nice red wine stew today. Going to have it again tomorrow to save defrosting stuff. Freezer rather stuffed with mushroom soup DH made other day - really good I might add.

Love and hugs to all. Hope to catch up again soon.

    Evening:D

Kids back from landmark, they had a fun day, glad they enjoyed themselves:j

Had to take lo back to A+E today as advised by hospital, no visible signs of swelling or infection, they could have taken the cast off to check but would have meant another 2-3 hours to wait as they were busy, dr said he had quite likely bumped it bad and thats why he was getting more sore, back on thursday to fracture clinic so will get it x-rayed then.

They said to come back if it didnt get better, i dont want to go out in car again with lo as he isnt allowed in his car seat due to his arm! had to just sit him on my knee 20 mins each way to hospital:eek: was so glad to get home!

Over at mums in afternoon, my brother and squishy were up too, she brought out clothes for me that she is no longer wearing, its great stuff:D mum is going to wash them first though:j

Made another bread today, made stovies for tea and dh cleaned the bathroom for me and hoovered a bit upstairs, i told him to rest but he wouldnt hear of it! he is now shattered and cant sleep! goes to work in a couple of hours too. He has to clean the toilets tonight, he is so looking forward to that:rotfl:

    Hugs

Just popped in for a quick mooch and wanted to say (((hugs))) to mrsmortenharket.

Got totally drenched a few times at ds' footie. Had to come home and have a very hot bath to defrost myself. Have done nothing else bar cook dinner, so will get up early tom morning to catch up. Mind you couldnt have done anymore washing as run out of drying space.

Not happy as whilst I was out I received a phone call from PC world re a new laptop for the business I ordered on line. They said that Barclays had declined the payment - I definately know that there's enough money in there and pc world said that barclays and other banks often decline online transactions over £300 nowdays to prevent fraud - however its very annoying as they dont let the customer know. So now have got to phone barclays in the morning, ask them to authorise the payment and then ring pc world to put it through again. Would have gone to the shop but got an online discount and also went thro quidco. Moan over will get it eventually.

Also was naughty today - had a quick look on Lakeland for 1 thing I wanted - ended up with a very full up basket! All very useful stuff though!

Anyway best get off now, have a lovely evening.

    evening!

    (((mrsmortenharket)))
sorry to hear about your gran

N9eav - hope DSs interview went well

have had a nice day at work, we took two of the service users to Witley Court which is an English Heritage site, its a fabulous stately home that was destroyed by fire in 1937 and just the shell remains plus the wonderful gardens, was featured in an episode of Dalziel and Pascoe the other week. Was really worth the visit.
Just walked the dogs and am shattered now, plan a soak in the bath and have a new face pack to try out.

Tomorrow is my DHs 45th Birthday as well as fathers day and we've planned a full day of carbooting(buying not selling) we're taking a picnic too so should be a nice day out.

    I hope everyone's ok.

    Take care xxx

Evening all and big hugs to mrsmortenharket

Have had an emotional couple of days but am now ready to share. Some time ago I mentioned that my exh had stolen the only photos of our son who died of cotdeath at only 8 weeks old he would have been 21 this August. well my dds are back in touch with him and have been given copies. i hadn't seen these photos for over 15 years and it has been very hard without them. There are only 15 of them - all taken on the day of his birth. I was so scared that I had remembered him all worng that I couldn't even open the envelope for a while but they are lovely and I had remembered him exactly right. I need to get digital copies of them to send to my family but am not ready to let them go just yet as I only have prints and no negatives - I presume it can be done though.

My dsis's exh is coming to stay in july for a couple of weeks and has managed to get tickets for the sound of music - dd is VERY excited. I hope he has a nice time with us - they are very well off and we're ....... well not so I hope he realises he'll be slumming it :)

    have a good evening all
