    Good morning everyone,

Got up a bit earlier this morning. Just having my cuppa, then will tidy up, shower, finish throwing the odds and ends together and roar off. :D The weather is about the same today. Light drizzle so I hope the roads are ok.

Having lunch with the girls today Pink & Snowy :j and to say goodbye :( and then we catch the ferry back to Scotland. Woke up with one of my back teeth a bit niggly today. I hope it doesn't develop into a raging toothache. That's all I need this week. :p

N9eav I hope DS gets the job. Fingers crossed.
CharliesMum Enjoy the auction. They're great fun.
Chipps The barn owl sounded great. I wish we saw it. Great bargains too.

Well ((((hugs)))) to everyone else and I hope you all a lovely day. Byeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning everyone :hello:

It's dry here for the moment but won't stay that way. Thankfully I don't *have* to go out today but I may take my chances and nip to the local craft shop soon if it stays dry. DD and I made a photo frame from some cardboard and pasta and all it needs now is to be sprayed with gold paint to look classy enough for her room. ;):D

I've already sorted out my bank accounts for this month and provided I don't go on a mad spending spree, things are looking good for me this month.

Later I'm going to get final quotes for my home and contents insurance as I know I can get it much cheaper than the *negotiated* premium from my broker this year. They are quoting £345.96 for B&C! I did a combination quote and separate buildings and contents quotes on the screenscaper sites and managed to get both for around the £200 mark. So that will be a nice hefty saving for me. Plus, I would also get around £50 cashback if I do two separate policies through Quidco or Topcashback. :j

Time for some tea and toast methinks. Have a super Saturday. xx

P.S. Good luck shopping with your ds N9eav. If he is anything like mine, it's not always a pleasure to go clothes shopping with him.

    Good morning all,

Have actually been up since 5.30 (thanks to youngest child being an early riser), however have run out of both tea bags and milk so have taken this long to come round (think there must be something of a caffine addict in me!). Hubby's turn for a lie-in so as soon as he's up I'll pop out to the shops to replenish supplies!

N9eav- I had a part-time job at McDonalds, whilst I was at school. For the amount of slack they get, they were good to work for. Compared to what else was available at the time, they paid decent wages and had schelued breaks which included food. After a while, you did start believing the hype though (mcDonalds is the best company in the world, etc). Hope the interview goes well for your son.

    Hugs to all.

Like icecubequeen I have a to-do list as long as my arm. Need to get motivated. I've got a telphone interview at 11.30 for our new life insurance so I mustnt forget about that.

Later I've got to go to Aldi as we are completely out of some of the basics hoping not to spend more than £10. Got the stuff for fajita in so that will be tea I think. Tomorrow its my nieces birthday party so we will be going to that fortunately I've already got the present and card

    Have a good day everyone

    Goodmorning everybody :hello:

    it has stopped raining :j

My DD13 has finally admitted she has a BF  OMG my baby is growing up ( I wondered why she was suddenly spending more time on MSN ) she said she has been 'going out' with him since last Thursday but didnt want to tell me straight away. Think Im going to have to keep an eye on this one. Turns out though that he is the grandson of one of my Mums friends so thats going to be fun.
We dont have many plans for this weekend - we were going do a car boot sale but due to the weather I think we will wait another week. Still have a lot of sorting out to do. DD has dancing today and tomorrow and I need to pin the DDog down and clip her nails  Im making lasagne & potato wedges for dinner tonight.

fingers crossed for your son N9eav

    Good morning everyone,

Being really lazy this morning, DD made me a cup of tea, and we have sat eating biscuits for breakfast!!!! Still need to have a shower and get dressed, but Saturday kitchen has started early, so im in no hurry at the mo.

DS has a football match at 12, but thats the only planned thing this weekend, so i think a weekend of slobbing out is due. I do want to clean upstairs, was thinking of doing it this afternoon, but will see how i feel - it may be tomorrow (i will do it, as weekends are the only chance i get to do upstairs).

Thats about it for now, hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Good Morning All

N9eav - good luck for DS

It was sunny here this morning but now pouring, luckily DS and I managed to take out the dog for a nice long walk before it started.
DS has a football tournement today so fingers x'd it stops.

Have so far done 1 load of washing - need to find somewhere to dry it now and am about to clean kitchen worktops, hoover everywhere and wash kitchen and bathroom floors - have loads of ironing (I really dont know where that is from) so that will be done throughout the day. Need to take DS to footie at 12.45 if its still on. Luckily DD has a party today and wont be home till 5pm so no arguing for a change.

Had a nice evening last night, had dinner at a new bistro bar that has opened in another village - it was terrible - the food was nice but the main course portions would have been acceptable for a starter. Had rabbit for the first time & I did like it but dont think will be going back there again. We decided to go there originally as they source a lot of their ingredients locally however after we left there we spent a small fortune at the sweet shop to fill up!
Came home to watch Little Miss Sunshine on dvd - very funny.

Best get on, having bacon sarnies later this morning and hm chicken curry as didnt have it last night.

    Have a great Saturday.

    Morning all

Woke up to thick fog and rain this morning - it's eased off now but I think we've been very lucky compared to some with the floods.

DH has gone to work for a few hours to build up the overtime fund - he can got to work for 3 hours and claim for fuel each way and make just over £150 - a nice little extra for next month.

House is pretty tidy - just need to run a hoover round but will leave that until tomorrow as both cats are in and shedding all over the place. WM is on with DD's bedding - hope the weather might stay dry long enough to dry it or it will be drapped over doors (the disadvantage of living in a bungalow - no bannisters to dry big items on)

Got to pop to town later - need to go to the library, DD's have some games to take into the shop to trade in and I need some potatoes for tea.

Hope you all have a great day.
