millionaire_in_training wrote: »EE well done on your resisting. I nearly popped a wine gum in my mouth and it was actually a physical feeling trying to resist. This is why I am sure I am addicted as the cravings are so physical. I had a quick look at the beat site but I don't have an eating disorder thankfully. I'm just greedy and have an enormous love for sugary snacks.
I've been speaking to a few folks in work about it and quite a few people (nice thin ones) told me that they actively avoid sugary snacks So I reckon I have found my answer. I just hope that I can stick with it. We were joking that instead of AA I would be in SA (sugarmunchers anonymous) I was then getting comments asking how many days clean I was :rotfl:. I don't care though as I am just happy to be 'clean' for 2 days
This is quite an interesting slide show on sugar addiction - http://www.webmd.boots.com/diet/ss/slideshow-sugar-addiction
This is interesting - http://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/Goodfood/Pages/How-I-reduced-my-sugar-intake.aspx
I used to get the sleepy feeling in the afternoon but since cutting out gluten and now sugar I feel really good.
Just reporting in another day sweet free although DD had Giant Yorkie Buttons that looked amazing but I resisted. I find having to report on here keeps me on the straight and narrow:rotfl:
Hope everyone has had a good day!0 -
Well done EE. Nearly fell off the wagon as I went to grab a few rich tea biscuits with a cuppa earlier  Sheer habit...but I put them back
So another sweet treat free day.
Have a vision of MiT being chased by ferrets at her friends whilst she's cleaning  or only doing stuff that involves standing on a chair :rotfl:
Hope you've had a good day MiT - 3 days clean I hopeBack on the DFW Wagon:

I must have lost at least half a stone by now
. 3 days clean ladies. BB and SS you guys are more than welcome to join. EE I'll have a look at those sites later thanks xx
Ali no ferrets yet - Thank God. Started stripping her DD's bedroom tonight so that was good for the old bingo wings and also managed a half hour walk in my lunch. My back was really sore though during walk. I think the extra weight is causing a nerve to be pinched as when I walked my back was sore and my leg and them my arm was going numb. As soon as I sat down though everything was fine and I could then carry on for a wee while. I need to sort myself out. This is ridiculous. So I hope this works cutting out the sugar as I am getting desperate. My friend had jammy donuts tonight up at the house and I couldn't stop looking at them. I didn't succumb though :A
NSD today. This is making a big difference to my spends as I need to stay out of the shops so I can stick to it. Having to report in is keeping me on the straight and narrow as well. I am so glad you guys have joined me.
I was very sad to hear that Stephen Sutton died today. I've been following his story for a while now and I feel so much for his family and friends as he seemed to be a very special boy. He has left behind a fabulous legacy.
Dawny thankfully I don't need a hotel. We will just get a train home hopefully. I'll leave car in Glasgow and commute from there. Hampden is not the easiest place to get out of when the traffic is bad so we will ditch car in town and that'll be fine. Are you staying in Glasgow?
I am tired tonight and will no doubt ache tomorrow. I am going to the theatre tomorrow night tp see 'the full monty'. Should be a good wee night . Be good now xx

Hi MIT. I have sadly fallen off the wagon. I am blaming it on the stress of having bees take over my house last night and getting stressed about my interview tomorrow. Together with a job I'm not happy in.
Did 3 days. So will get back on the wagon tomorrow. I had 6 squares of fudge and a piece of cake. But was in a meeting earlier and resisted the urge to eat a piece of cake, which is good.
Hope everyone else keeping up the NST challenge. I am going try for 5 days in a row now.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Tomorrow is another day.
I think I have had another NST day but I went to C0sta for coffee with a client who I helped with their bankruptcy and had a mocha latte - does hot chocolate count as a sugar??0 -
Late check in for me guys. What a day !! Slept in this morning. Drove the 12 miles to work to discover I had forgotten my specs so had to drive home and get them ( can't see a bloody thing without them)
Was a crazy day as well. So so busy. Wanted curry for lunch and canteen ran out
I have been a bit of a Mrs Angry today and this morning I was craving sugar so bad. My mood just dropped through the floor. I didn't succu,b but I couldn't stop thinking about crunchies .It got better as the day went on but then I had a bloody charmer on the phone who told me to 'get the F off his effing phone' Don't you just love the general public ? NOT !! Do people not realise that they can get charged by the police for speaking to people like that. I would never ever no matter what the circumstances were speak to anyone like that. I just said ' no problem, thank you very much for your time' as sweetly as I could manage. I have reported him though. !!!!
Came home and things got loads better. DD made dinner and did some washing to go out in morning. DS cleaned up kitchen. I just turned up for dinner, then got changed and headed to the theatre. Local singing group put on 'The Full Monty' and it was fantastic. So funny and the singing was fab. Great wee night.
Tired now and catching up with Masterchef. Crazy few days in front of me but all good stuff.
Spent £1.50 on lunch. £16 at theatre but no other spends. I'll need petrol over the weekend but will only get half a tank as only working next week but unfortunately it will need to go on CC. Oh well YOLO (you only live once) as my DD says
