Well done - on the walk and the money raised!
And good on DS making you tea - bless him - keep your feet up and hopefully you wont be too sore tomorrow x0 -
I've put loads of foot cream on and taken paracetamol. My friend who did the walk with me is away to a wedding . Hopefully a few wee swifties will lubricate her poor feet and she can dance the night away.
Just watched Philomena. Very sad but Judi Dench was brilliant in it. I'm having a wee movie night tonight and am away to watch wolf of wall street now5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Enjoy! They're both films I'd like to see too, but bet it'll be years until they're on tv. Starting to get tempted by Netflix or similar.
Hope the feet feel good son. at your friend - walking AND dancing! That's some going!Back on the DFW Wagon:

Philomena was fab but Judi Dench is always amazing. I didn't like Wolf of Wall street at all. 3 hrs of carp. Was going to switch off halfway but saw it through till the end and wish I hadn't bothered5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Holiday sandals purchased. 2 pairs fly flot. 1 black and 1 white. White ones were in the clearance as insoles are slightly different shades. £54 for both pairs so in comparison to Hotter shoes I saved £36
and these are like walking on cushions. I love fly flot shoes but they are not so pretty. I did pay cash though so the £90 for the hotter shoes will get refunded to CC. I then £3.17 in local shop on essentials ( sweets :rotfl:).
Most of the housework is done but I have left bathroom to DD for when she comes home and we can all do our own rooms. Really wet here today so no washing out on the line so we look like a launderette yet again.
Need to read my gas and electricity meters today but tbh I am scared as I know electricity will have rocketed due to DS being off of school.
Chicken, yorkies, mash and broccoli with gravy for dinner tonight and apparently DD is buzzin for it !! Where do they get these expressions?? No language that I know.
My feet are still aching from yesterday and I am feeling super fat and uncomfortable today so diet starts again tomorrow so I can feel better. Have a lovely Sunday everyone xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

so I have read my meters and don't think the news is overly good re electricity. It appears to be down on last month but I used 410kwh this reading and apparently my consumption is above average. I use approx £40 more than others in my area. However I use £39 less on average on Gas so I am just going to go with this. It looks as if I might be able to reduce my electricity DD down again but I will leave it another month and see5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

:T Well done on the sandals, got a bargain there.
Feel free to send some of your cleaning motivation my way...pretty please. I am soo behind on mine now
If it looks like you can reduce your electricity DD then it sounds like you're using less than you're paying for? That's great news.
I don't tend to worry about us vs. average, as we're always over. I'm sure it's more expensive being hermits with gadgets :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:

No cleaning motivation Ali, I was just scared the kids would catch something if I didn't do it
My electricity went up to £91 per month because for a few months last year every time I went in DS's room he either had a fan on or a heater. I had to end up removing them from the house and obviously this year we got heating upstairs so the usage has dropped. I'm using about £55 per month but still paying £73 as I'm still in debit. I want to get onto an even keel and I can relax a bit about it.
I am furious at DS as I asked him to bring me a packet of crisps in and he has finished them. There were 4 packets there . He was just about to make himself some toast but I have sent him upstairs with a flea in his ear about his greed and his selfishness. Little sh*t
Am reading through a long diary on here and it was talking about furniture. My furniture is all cheap flat pack and not that nice. My settee's are 14 years old. They are leather but still very old and spring is coming through bottom of one of them. So when I get debt free I am going to buy some quality furniture that I love and it will do me forever. DD has told me that when I am away on holiday she will decorate lounge for me so I need to get the stuff in for that. It'll be fab to come home to it all done. It hasn't been done for about 10 years at least. She is just going to strip it and line 3 walls and do a feature wall. It'll look great. I fancy a stripey paper so am away to have a wee look5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

I've always been of the do without until you can get what you really want thinking where furniture is concerned. It means I have some truly lovely things that last so well, I'm sick of the sight of them but can't bring myself to downgrade just to refresh. Don't be too focused on aiming for the quality furniture. Aim for however long you think you will want that look.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes.
