Anyways, Hello folks. I took a wee cheeky half day today. Since I lost my team I have been much quieter in my work and today was dead. I left at 1pm. I then went to home bargains for mug shots and spent £33.88  I stocked up on noodles and rice though. 99p for tilda rice and I paid way more than that recently and 59p for egg noodles and again I paid way more than that recently. This is where I go wrong. I need to shop more savvy. I bought birthday cards for my friends for the rest of the year and also stocked up on snacks and some storage tubs and a few other [STRIKE]pieces of carp[/STRIKE]essential items.

Got a letter in from Tesco re my interest rate. They are putting it up to 26.89% or I can call them and tell them to shove it and they will keep it at 23.89. I thought it was 19% which is bad enough  so phone call will be duly made to tell em where to shove it. I only did it for the 0% anyway.

No other spends today and no intention of having any. Only DS and I for dinner tonight as DD away out. I have mince out and am thinking either mince and tatties or HM burgers. I'll let DS decide.

So am away to do houseworkey type things and I'll no doubt wing my way back later x

  • Just did a freezer inventory and I have at a very minimum 59 meals in it :o. So 20 dinners for us at least. I am going to try really hard not to buy any food over next 4 weeks except essentials. I need to get chicken and I'll get a lorne. I also need fruit and veg and will need bread and milk. I shouldn't need anything else though. I am bloody ridiculous. I haven't even started on the store cupboards. I have a £5 off of £45 voucher for Aldi so I will stock up on what I need and then run everything down until weekend before I go away. I will fill freezer with pizzas etc for kids whilst I am away. They've waned me that they just want freezer food and not to batch cook for them *rolleyes* so hey it makes my life easier.

I'll away and order my chicken etc for delivery Monday evening. Total cost for that will be £57 but fingers crossed it will last all month. I would be so rich if we didn't eat :D

    :o:o:o:o:o :rotfl:

Is Home Bargains the same as B&M? We've got one somewhere on another retail park, but haven't ventured over there.

 on the Tesco rate. Shocking how much interest rates are on credit cards once the 0% expires.

You're well stocked on food then MiT! :rotfl: I rarely use the money off vouchers as end up spending more than I need to. It's a bit of double edged sword really - saving money is good, but spending to save isnt always. I take the view they'll always be other vouchers in the future for when I can use them (then typically isn't :rotfl:)

How long until you go on holiday? It sounds soon! :D

  • I'm going to the ballet tomorrow and I am so so so looking forward to it. Romeo and Juliet by the Scottish Ballet corps.

Going to the ballet has been on my bucket list but I think I will love it and become addicted. DD bought me the tickets for my Christmas and promised me a meal as well , however I reckon I'll be forking out for the meal as DD doesn't get paid until Monday. I don't mind though as we rarely get the opportunity to have a wee girly night. I'm really looking forward to it :D

  • Ha Ha Skinny. Love it.

It's not a very nice day here today and I am really really trying to motivate my body into getting a wriggle on. Had my porridge and really want to get house ship shape but CBA. I will though as am out tonight and out during day tomorrow so needs doing today.

Not sure if my fruit and veg are being delivered or not as the company that do it appear to have a broken down van and they've not replied to my e-mail. I wish they would just reply as it is very annoying and unprofessional not to let your customers know what's happening. They are ignoring everyone on their FB page. Just silly really as they will lose all their customers if they keep this up.

One more CC payment to be made this month and that will come out on Monday. I can then do my totals and hopefully they will come down a bit.I did add £90 on mind you but I needed shoes :o

Ok I am shifting and getting the polish out :(
