  • Ha ha INOD I wouldn't afford my holidays then. I'm a cava, prosecco type lass. Delusions of grandeur but can't afford champagne ;)

A wee day in the house today. Quite wet here. 2 loads of washing done and ready to hang up. Porridge been eaten for brekkie. Caught up with banking etc. Just going to check my new recipe book for ideas for dinner. Salad for lunch today. Looks like stir fry tonight. I have cooked piri piri chicken which I'll defrost and I have some ham cubes so that'll be nice. DD loves stir fry. DS hates it so he can have nuggets or something.

Hopefully a NSD today as I have no money in my purse. I am going to try and not lift any money and see if I can last out until Saturday as I will be paid cash on Saturday for cleaning job. I'm also working tomorrow for a few hours so will get about £50 for that but will stick that in holiday fund.

I've sold a CD already :D so I will get that sent off tomorrow. I'll just leave the money in my paypal and see if any other ones go. All the sales etc are for holiday fund anyway so I can go without any additional debt. That's how I added £1,000's last year between holiday, central heating and gutter renewal

I changed all the cupboard contents around yesterday in my kitchen and am happy to report no out of date packs or tins :D. I desperately need a new kitchen as although the kitchen is large the cupboards are rubbish. Hardly any storage space at all. As you will know I buy tonnes of food so I need space to store it. Once I get debt paid off I will save up and get a kitchen. I don't want to get into debt for it. I will manage to save no bother as I currently pay £350+ to debt per month so I will manage to save that easily. I reckon I will be about £5k for a kitchen overhaul so it would take me about 13mnths to save up for it. Sounds like a plan. Unfortunately my DFD is currently Dec 2019 :rotfl:.So I'll probably need to put up with my kitchen for another 5 yrs

Great news on selling a CD already, that's fab.

Love a nice kitchen - ended up with a new one when a double wall unit fell off whilst I was at work one day  It was dodgy when I moved in, so only kept light things in there.

Nice to have a 'save for' list after getting to debt freedom - we need new fascias (rotten one end and birds are getting into the eaves) and a new garage side door and window (also rotten).

Good going on the healthy eating too :T and hope the weather improves. We've got clouds here now :(

  • I love nice kitchens too and the kitchen in here was the main reason we bought the house but after 23years of abuse from 2 children it is absolutely done. The doors are starting to come off and everything. Never mind I will appreciate a new one all the more when I get it.

NSD today and hopeful it will end up like that. I have been a lazy moo today and it has been fab. I did do some washing and I have been sitting knitting but nothing else done. Well I cooked lunch, dinner and slow cooker is on making soup but in comparison to my normal days it has been bliss.

Lovely and sunny here now but ground is soaked so am not even going to venture outdoors. I'm going to continue knitting and just thoroughly chill. DS has loaded the dishwasher so I will finish the kitchen clear up and that'll be me. DD is heading into Glasgow tonight as it's her birthday this weekend and she has big plans for it. She'll be 20  on Sunday. How can that be? I'm not old enough to have a 20 yr old. Hmmm unfortunately yes I am !!

So computer going off until later on as I get sidetracked with facebook. xx

Kids do ruin stuff for sure! I have vowed not to replace the sofas until DS leaves home - there is quite a tear along a seam that my mum always comments on, but there is no way I will have a new one until he sits rather than lays on it and can't see him doing that anytime soon!

It's good to have a chill out day - enjoy your eve away from the computer. :)

  • Nearly lasted all night but my phone was going nuts as I started a debate earlier on facebook about eating celery and I was missing out :rotfl:. This is how sad my life is.

My friend has invited us all for dinner on Sunday. I am delighted but DD is making meh noises about it as it's her birthday and her BF was coming for dinner, but he never makes up his mind until the last minute so I'm sorry but we are going out. I'm not making plans around him. It'll be a great wee day. My friend is even going to bake a cake for her.

So need to head to bed as working in the morning until lunchtime. All good for the holiday(s) fund :D

  • Afternoon folks and what a gloriously sunny day it is today :D

Been working all morning and shattered now but am going to tidy round my house so it doesn't annoy me all weekend. What a house we were cleaning this morning. It is out of this world. The views are amazing and on a day like today it actually takes your breath away. Hard work though and I ache all over from making 14 beds. I made £60 though which I will get paid next week. I'm probably going to have to use it for petrol but hey ho. Next week is possibly DS's final week of school as if he gets the required results for college then he will be leaving. So > £100 per month saved there :D.

I am skint, skint, skint!! What's new ? I will get £32.50 tomorrow for cleaning and that will do for DS's bus costs next week and a haircut. As I said the £60 from today will pay for petrol. I have no cleaning to do next week but am hoping to do a car boot and whatever I get from that will keep us going.

Just checked my e-mails and reckon I might have sold my wine cooler :D. I'd asked for £80 and they have offered £60. I've gona back saying no less than £70 so we'll see if he gets back to me. That would ease things a wee bit :D

Anyway am off as when the sun is out I get all motivated xx

  • Downstairs all tidied. Washing nice and dry. I love a nice sunny day :D. Going to be nice tomorrow as well apparently so I will hopefully get out in the garden tomorrow after work.

Just had an absolutely awesome dinner. 3 fish fingers, HM slimming world oven chips and barbecued beans. It was bloody delicious. Funny how sometimes a wee kiddy dinner just hits the spot. I couldn't be bothered doing a big meal so we filled a gap and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Going to sit and get on with my knitting tonight as I promised my Aunt I would do this set for her. I'm enjoying it and it keeps me off of here. I need to break the habit of signing on and sitting on the computer all night. It's ridiculous.

So no doubt I shall be back later xx
