Hi folks been MIA but such a busy couple of weeks I had no time to come on here. I have a day off today so might manage to catch up. I do have a massive amount of laundry to get through though so will be spending the day chasing the laundry around various machines.
I've been away all weekend for my friend's 50th birthday. The people who own the big house that we clean had given us the house for the weekend and we had such a great time. Friday night was family night which was good fun but quieter and Saturday was party night with the photo booth, karaoke and dancing. We had the jacuzzi as well and the cinema room where we sat on Saturday afternoon and enjoyed Top Gun (again ). All in all a great weekend.
My friend's friend from France also surprised her which was amazing. She had to stay with me for 2 days whilst we waited to surprise her and we had a lovely couple of days. The woman's english is brilliant so we just chatted for 2 days
Still managing to keep going with the overpayments. I managed £180 this week but definitely a bit quieter this month which is great tbh as I am worn out and it's great to get some chill time.
I am nearly in the £12k's and this is just phenomenal. I can't believe how much I have managed to pay off so far this year. The year has disappeared in a flurry of debt payments. I am hoping to do the same next year and get rid of it all once and for all. I can then save nice and quickly for my bathroom and kitchen. My plans for these rooms are what keeps me going as I am sure you are all aware.
I need to go out at some point today as I have 2 gifts to buy. My SIL has her birthday today and my Godson's daughters birthday is tomorrow. Not like me to be so disorganised but hey ho.
So both machines have stopped so I better move my backside and sort them xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Evening all
V it was a great weekend. Loved it.
Been interviewing for staff again this week and I am exhausted. I remember being like this last time as well.
Don't think my overpayments will be so good next 2 months as I have so much to pay. My car is in next week for a service and it's first MOT. So I will need to pay £200+ before I even know if anything needs done. I'm pretty sure my brakes are needing done as well. I also have £80+ to repay to HMRC as I have been overpaid. So that's November pretty much stuffed and then we have December and DS's 18th and Christmas . I'll still try and overpay but I will struggle. Not overly concerned though as I will hopefully not add anything to my debt for the first Christmas in many years. I will be happy enough if I manage that. I have £360 to get at end of month from cleaning but I also have £50 this weekend plus whatever I get for laundry. I'll use the £360 for the car and still overpay with the other money.
Need to start really trying again with my money as although I am doing well with paying things off I am overspending on shopping and general living expenses. I will get a menu plan done and also a list for Christmas gifts and get started on that. I cannot believe we are starting on Christmas already. Bloody scaring me
Anyway I am chilling and then having an early night to see if I have more energy tomorrow. I hope everyone is well xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Good morning folks. How fab to have an extra hour today. I'm feeling a tad delicate this morning as was out last night with some friends and way too much alcohol. Signing the pledge now for a while
£50 paid to CC today so close to 12's but no spare cash to get me over the threshold. I have to get through until Friday but I have food, petrol and some cash in my pure. I should manage but it will be a challenge.
Doing the interviews this week has sparked something in me. I'm feeling a bit motivated again for work. Some of our own staff are trying for promotion and I am feeling sad for them as a good few are just not prepared for interview. I have quite a lot of experience now so I am going to ask if I can hold some workshops and some mock interviews before our internal boards begin so we can give folks the best chance possible. I'll see how I feel.
No word yet on my compressed hours request but I've been away from my desk all week so it could be ticking over in the background.
A day of laundry and tidying and telly catch up today. Will go and collect my car later if DD ever surfaces. Have a great day folks xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

I'm in the £12's , I'm in the £12's :j:j:j:j
I am so pleased. I feel my debt is getting to a much more normal level and it's just not such a huge worry. Not going to ease up any on paying it except for money I need for the car etc. I can put some of that against the business anyway so am not too upset about it.
I am feeling super motivated just now except for my weight which is creeping up and up and making me miserable. Need to get my head back in the right place and start again. I'm working on it ....................whilst I eat a toffee crisp
I'm still interviewing and I'm definitely going to start having a look at my own progression and get started on gathering my evidence. So ta ta for now xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Congratulations on being in the 12's :j.

You'll get there with the weight MIT. Perhaps concentrate on just not gaining for a while. Good practice for maintenance when you're svelte and perhaps more doable while you're not in the mood

Hi folks. Well I wasn't in the 12's for long but all is good. Back up to £14.5k however it is saving me a power of money in the long run so it's all good.
I got a fab offer in today to transfer cash and also balances for 0% until 2017. So I transferred £1500 to my overdraft and £3250 to CC's as one of them is still charging small interest each month and the other is the one I've been concentrating on which has a 0% which runs out in January. With things being quieter just now realistically I would not manage to pay all of the balance off by Jan so I have left myself with £1200 on that one which I should manage to clear no problem. I now have everything on 0% :j. My o/d was costing me up to £30 each month so the transfer costs will be negated in 3 months. I was really loathe to add to my CC debt but it really makes financial sense.
So I will still concentrate on the one that ends Jan and clear that and then I have £3900 balance which is 0% until May so I will then get started on that one. Juggle juggle juggle
I had a day off of normal job today but had a 5hr cleaning job. I have 5 hrs tomorrow and also on Sunday ( hmmm I thought it was quietening down) I also have 3 houseloads of washing to get done plus my own. I have a halloween party tonight and a dear friends 50th tomorrow night. I'll take car tonight but not tomorrow. I'll be desperate for Monday to come along so I can get a rest :rotfl:It is £310 in the coffers though so it has to be done.
i have £480 in cash coming in this weekend for work done but will have to sort out my tax etc and then see what I can use for overpayments. So I will update my sig when I can face it as it is always a bummer when you feel you're going back the way but it's the best decision for me and means I have absolutely no interest to pay as everything will be gone before it kicks in. I am determined of that :T. So I best be off and sort my costume out for tonight and have some dinner5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Hi MIT, are you finally going to ditch the o/d? How many times have you paid it back to run it up again? Still making brilliant progress have a great party.
