Happy New Year mit.
Glad you had a good nye and aren't suffering with the kidneys at least
Having a lazy day here but as well as finances I want to get more organised this year and not let the house get into a mess so have been pottering about here and there to tidy up. Little & often is going to be my new motto in regards to cleaning
Hope 2014 is kinder to you than 2013 was

Happy New year to you guys too. I now feel like death and am never drinking again :rotfl:
Sitting eating minstrels after a huge dinner of sirloin steak, onions, sprouts, roasties and croquettes. I am stuffed but am still eating  No wonder I am of the more rounded variety of female
NSD again today. Such a pity I couldn't manage another 364 of them. Still it looks good on day 1 of a new year that I have spent zero

Evening folks. Well today has taught me a lesson. I was thinking I was being ultra good but fell at the first hurdle. DD and I went out to see if we could get flowers for her BF's Granny's funeral and made the mistake of not eating so ended up in Subway. DD was skint so of course I had to pay which cost me £9.20 . Then went to ASDA to see if any bargains and spent £17.66 and tbh £8 of that was all I really needed to spend.
I ended up buying socks for me. Ok I need socks but could have managed without them. I bought 3 boxes of shortbread in case I need it when going visiting- I have all the ingredients in for making it. I bought smarties for me- defo needed them NOT !! and bought 3 bottles pepsi max. I mean seriously:o
I am so so glad I have started my diary as I would have come home feeling quite righteous today and the diary has pointed out to me exactly where I go wrong. So another lesson learned.
Had to drive into Glasgow tonight as DD's BF's Granny was being taken into chapel and the church was in town. I only know a few areas of Glasgow and I got completely lost in the dark. It was a nightmare. DS was navigating on sat nav and his phone crashed so we got completely lost. Nearly took a wrong turn and slammed my tyre into a kerb. Will not be surprised if it is flat in the morning. I then went through a red light as I was concentrating on the signs. We turned a corner and came across the funeral by accident so thankfully eventually got there. I am just not built for city living. I was stressed out of my face and nearly in tears. So not fun.
Anyway we got there in the end but I am now sweating in case I get a ticket for running the red light and also that I have knackered my wheel. Potentially a very expensive trip.
Back to work tomorrow so I have taken the soup out of the freezer and I have fruit and yoghurt for snacks.

My Mum used to navigate me through Glasgow even though she hadn't lived there for 50 years!
The last time I was up there without her I was going to Kelvingrove & was on Sauchiehall Street when I took a wrong turn…… a while later I crossed the Erskine Bridge :rotfl: Found it eventually:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
I was to head for the Kingston Bridge and although I have driven across it many many times I had no idea how to get there. I was just ready to give up and go home when we came across the church
I have my hospital scan appointment tomorrow so I really hope that'll be a step closer to getting my health sorted out.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
