  • Hi, have you liked the Swagbucks UK facebook page? They post (time limited) codes for extra bucks and you have opportunities to win bucks too. Have to admit my swagbucks is on a slow burn at the minute as I haven't done any surveys on there for ages, but ai'm ticking over by doing the daily poll, NOSO and searching every day. It's a good site to use Xx

  • Last year i did Swagbucks religiously and when I checked yesterday I noticed that I was claiming a £5 Amazon voucher every 2 - 3 weeks which I used towards Xmas.

Last year you could only do 1 daily survey but I note from the thread on Up Your Income that you can do as many as you like now. Daily Surveys are worth 70 SB's.
Be careful with these as sometimes they do not credit - a lot of people moan about it, you are supposed to take a screen print and report it after so many days. My Daily Surveys have always credited within 24 hrs and if they don't I have never bothered reporting it.

You also can do the Daily Poll - 1SB, NOSO - 2SB plus there are usually videos to watch on the home page which are worth 1 or 2 SB.

Some people sign up to every offer going but I am wary about doing this as last year when I followed the thread people were saying that their security showed the websites as being dodgy plus some did not credit. I rarely did offers and still managed to get a voucher regularly.

There is also SBTV - watch 10 clips for 3SB. I think you can do 100SB per day on this. Remember that the ticker increases after about 20 seconds so you don't have to watch the whole video plus it can play in the background while you do something else.

There are also daily targets to meet - the initial target is quite low and then when you reach that you get a second target for the day.
If you reach target you get the bonus SBs shown plus if you meet the target for 7, 14 and 28 days continously you get extra bonuses as well. The bonuses are paid on the 5th of the following month.

Plus they give you 50SB for your birthday - mine was the other day and it took me up enough to claim a £5 Amazon voucher.

I find the SB thread has so many posts from people that by the time I have read it I have wasted 20 mins and I could have been on Swagbucks all that time!!

I also do about 12 different survery companies and these always credit so at the moment I am going to concentrate on those and if I get any spare time I will go on Swagbucks.

I also used to run an account for my DH (he got more surveys than me - I guess men don't tend to do surveys much) but on a different compauter as they are very strict re IP addresses etc but DS broke my old laptop and has now done something to his sister's so I will just use my account.

Maybe we can have a mini challenge between some of us?
  • Thanks guys. All great info.I have now liked swagbucks page on FB. I did a few videos yesterday and just turned down the sound but wasn't sure about having to keep whole video running so it's good to know I can stop one the green light goes on.

I used to do loads of sites for surveys but tbh they do my head right in so I will stick to swagbucks and I'll pick one other and that'll do me. Otherwise I will get fed up.

Started knitting an Aran cushion cover last night and it looks fab. I am just using up bits of wool I have lying about and advertising my stuff locally. I will charge £15 per cushion. I know that seems quite expensive but tbh there is a lot of work in them and I will provide the wool and the cushion so will only actually make about £10 profit on each and they will take about 3 nights knitting. Not huge amounts but it all helps. I just hope I get some orders :D.

Massive pot of soup in the slow cooker today. It is so thick my spoon stands in it so I may need to split it between the 2 slow cookers later on. I'll see how it goes. My first time doing soup in this one so I think I got the portions a bit wrong :rotfl:

Otherwise I will have a day of tidying round, doing some laundry and chilling in front of telly. Back to work tomorrow and it will no doubt be crazy mental and I just cba.

Have a great day guys xx

    Hi MIT

I like swagbucks as I keep the swag TV ticking over (on mute) whilst I am watching telly.

I like My Survey- I sat and did a few on boxing day and made £5 - I do find them mind numbing and even though there are still a few on my home page I cba lol. You can cash out at £3 though too :)

Such a lovely day out but I am currently chilling on sofa waiting for OH to come back from a call out to have some lunch.

    Enjoy your Sunday x
  • Just been on swagbucks for 3 hours and 30 SB's earned. Bit rubbish but I'll persevere. I did get a bit distracted by the games mind you :o.

Soup is bubbling away nicely but it is mighty thick. I'll leave it on for a few hours and see what happens. It will probably need thinned significantly. No doubt kids will be moaning as there is so much to be eaten :rotfl:. It'll freeze nicely though so it'll be fine.

Got sausages, chips and beans for dinner as we want something plain and hearty. I'll make macaroni as well though and do one for freezer and one for tomorrow night's dinner. DD is off of work so she can then have my dinner ready for me coming in from work.

Am much happier now I am back on moneysaving. NSD today :D

  • Well what a busy wee cook I have been today.

DS and I had a fry for dinner and it was yum yum.

Made macaroni cheese for tomorrow night and got 2 full dinners for the 3 of us out of it. I also got a single portion and one that will do 2 of us with chips. So 9 dinners for approx 50p per portion. Also got 6.5 litres of lentil soup cooked. As I said it is very thick so I will get about 20 good sized plates at least from that at the approx cost of 20p per plate. Now if Jamie Oliver et al come up with meals on a budget to match those then I will be impressed. Until then I will just impress myself :rotfl:. Not sure if I have enough freezer tubs for all this lot though !!

So house relatively tidy. Showered, hair washed and ready for work in the morning. I could cry and have a tantrum at the very thought of it :(

That is why I never play the games - I worry I will get distracted :rotfl:

I managed to get to 21 this morning before the 'day' ended on SB. Tonight I am on 31 which means I have met my 1st target.I will not be attempting the 2nd target.

Hope you manage to get som SB's tonight.

    Hope work went well.
  • Hi guys. What a day. Work was !!!!!! So busy it was ridiculous. My boss ( who is on temporary duties and normally same grade as me) sent me a cheeky bloody e-mail saying not to leave until work was cleared tonight. We had words needless to say as I could have worked until midnight and still not be done. I achieved much more than my target so stuff them. TBH I had expected to work on a bit today and I actually did 1hr more than I had to but I didn't do any more on a point of principle. I am on flexi so I get the time back but enough is enough. The day I stopped for Christmas I had pointed out to her early in the day that we needed help and she said to review things at lunchtime. We did this and surprise surprise we were in an even worse position by then. We worked like navvies and we were all there until after 5 but ultimately there was work left. Apparently last week she made some quip to one of my team ( I'm the team leader) about the situation not being managed very well :eek:. I am just desperate for her to say it to my face as I am ready for her. I managed the situation perfectly well, she was the one who mismanaged it and in addition to that she has now undermined me by talking to my staff member about me!! We will be having more words :rotfl:

Anyway she's not worth bothering about. These people usually get found out in the end.

So today I had a nsd :D. Very happy with that. Took lunch and drinks into work with me and did not waver although I was tempted to buy chocolate. I didn't though :D. I am going to try and not spend most days. I will have my pots of money put aside for school, petrol and shopping. I will count shopping and petrol days as spend days but school costs will only be a Monday.

So tomorrow promises to be worse than today and I have a party tomorrow night for the bells. I will be knackered but DS is wanting to go. DD is going out to party with her friend and then go to the dancing so no doubt I will be scooping her in at stupid o'clock in the morning as 2 sniffs of wine and she is a rubber lass :rotfl:.

Kids have been warned that house better be spotless when I come home tomorrow as I like it all clean and tidy for new year but we'll see. DD said I spoiled her surprise as she already intended getting everything done for me ............OOPS :o.

So I better get to bed as I am up at 6.30 and then another day from h£ll to encounter. Never mind at least I am in a much better position than the poor folks I deal with. So until tomorrow folks. Or should I say tonight xx

P.S no SB's tonight as was building a desk with DS, had to eventually call my brother to help us out and then spent 2 hours chatting to my bro :D
