  • Aaah it was so so good. Dazzling in fact. We just loved it. Costumes were amazing, dancing was brilliant, music was phenomenal an dthe food was to die for. Had a great catch up with DD and we are happy. Spent more than I wanted to but hey it was so worth it. £30 spent (as I had £20 in vouchers) and then £28 on petrol as one local garage has it down at 104.9 which is fabby for here. I filled up just incase it's a temporary thing. How great is it that petrol is dropping like this. Love it :D

Feeling great today. I feel as if my world is starting to right itself again. Long may it last :)

Glad you had a good night. We went to see the Nutcracker many years ago and it was amazing. DS enjoyed it more than DD strangely, he was mesmerised by it. Better to spend money on experiences than things.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Aww it really was fab. Am not bothered about the spends although it would have been a lot less if DD hadn't run up a £17 bar bill on cocktails :rotfl:. She did offer to pay fort hem but I know how skint she is so I said no. It was nice to treat her as she was delighted.

Horrible horrible day here today. Very wet and windy but I will need to head out as I need to go to the local dump. DS has an old computer chair and printer plus loads of cardboard to get rid of. The place might feel a bit better space wise if we can get rid of this lot as he has left them all lying in my very small hall upstairs. I'm practically having to climb over them to get to my room . I also need to head into ASDA for a few things. Need to check if they have white shirts in in his size yet. Ok just called them and no they don't. I then went online to see if I could get some and nope none there either!! Just as well really as a lovely cream jacket had fallen into my basket somehow that would fit me perfectly :o.It was in the sale and I don't need it so I didn't get it :(.

House nice and tidy now and 1st load of washing in the machine. I'm just going to chill out now before another busy week. I have 2 definite cleaning shifts this week and 2 possibles. I'm just waiting on confirmation of the 2. Hope they come off though as it would be another £44 and I'm doubting it will be that difficult to do.

So am away to get on with some knitting as haven't touched it all week. Have a nice day xx

  • Good grief I found myself on e of the bay there and nearly bidding on lovely M&S trousers. I also found myself on Boots site and I have 5 perfume sets in my basket to see whether they go down to ridiculous levels on Wednesday when there will be further cuts apparently. I would probably buy them if they do as I have loads of birthdays and would be great to get a few bargains.

NSD today as I haven't left the house. Normal work tomorrow and also cleaning tomorrow night. If all the shifts come off then I will get £300 from this job this month. If I get the 2 short shifts next weekend that'll be another £44 and I reckon about another £50 from other job. I have already used £50 cleaning money to pay off CC this month so all told potentially £444 from cleaning alone. True sayin g that where there's muck there's brass. If I get my CSA money as I should then I could be looking at paying off half of my overdraft, maybe a bit more and tesco CC will definitely be gone. This all makes me sunny :D

  • If you manage all that, you'll have to revisit your challenge as it won't take a year to make those ops.
Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Progress not perfection.:T100%through my 1% mortgage challenge. 100% through my pb challenge.
  • Hi folks, Didn't manage on last night as never got home until 10pm from 7.30am . I could hardly string 2 words together when I got in. DS made me spaghetti and toast and I watched Broadchurch and went to bed. Never mind that's another £50 in pot for job 3 :D. The 4 hours at the weekend have now been confirmed so that's smashing.

I have bust the shopping budget unfortunately BUT I got a great bargain. Our local butcher has fab produce. It is delicious, fresh and he puts on good offers as well. This offer was a 'protein pack' meant for body builders. So everything low fat and lean. I got 24 chicken breasts ( proper ones) , 10 large rump steaks, 10lbs mince and 5lbs stewing steak. It's £120 worth of meat and it sells for £80. So I basically got the steaks free :D. It's really quite sad how excited I am at having a steak *slurp*.

Spent £11 in home bargains today as well. However I paid £41 in change into the bank. I have put this in the pay off overdraft account. This has brought DFD 1 month closer and £216.27 saved in interest :D.

Snowing here (deep joy) and very very cold. Still no call from CSA  but they have until tomorrow and if no call then I will be calling them on Thursday and if still no joy then I will call my MP and get them onto the case. I'm getting annoyed now. I should have had £407 from start of November until now but I have only had £111 . I am getting really quite skint now and could be doing with this money or my 'pay off overdraft plan' may fail and after the amount of work I am doing to try and achieve this I will be fuming as I am knackered. If I have done all this extra work for the CSA to e ff it up for me then sparks will fly!! Staying calm about it just now :)

So nothing more to report. My wormate and I are having a giggle about how nice horrible boss is being to me and she is calling her my new BFF :rotfl: as if. I'm just smiling and nodding and saying all the right things :rotfl:
